spoke with my younger cousin around 15 min ago who is the manager of the Home Theater Dept. over at Best Buy in Edision, NJ and is dating the Asst Store Manager. I had her ask her bf is it true.. and he said and i quote "thats bull****"!

I can say I have personally seen the inventory screen AT a Best Buy store myself. The Diamond is indeed in the system with a date of 8/17... like I said before though, I think it will end up being only an estimate. But the Diamond is indeed in the system.

Land2634 is 100% correct. I KNOW FOR A FACT the screen says 8/17 now that can change depending on the vendor but the motorola VE20 vegas is on its way for the 8/17 release and so is a few new phones for Verizon and Att. Not every Best Buy will carry the same providers. According to Regulations with Best Buy a store can ONLY CARRY 3 Carriers at a time. Therefore certain locations may have different carriers. With that being said not Every Best Buy has Best Buy Mobile which gets over 90 phones and first access at the phones, so the boy friend that is the HT MANAGER (which that job does not even exist) maynot carry the phone. NOT EVERY BEST BUY will have it because its called Retail and its a business that changes daily.

Hector,

I went to Best Buy yesterday (8/10/0 and a sprint representative said that Best Buy was getting the phone sometime in the near future (He wouldn't give me the exact date). He also said that without a two year agreement and some kind of upgrade, the phone by itself with cost about $700!!! With the two year agreement & some sort of upgrade, he said the phone will cost around $250!!!
