actually the diamond will be faster as it has onboard storage and that will be faster then transflash storage. so from watching movies the diamond will be better.

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread

I didn't think about that. Onboard storage will be faster.

Typing on the Sprint Diamond:

According to the dimensions that have been posted, the Diamond is only .1 inch less in depth than the Touch Pro (translages to 4mm).

In some of the comparison shots, it does look slightly shorter, but same width as the Touch Pro.

The Diamond is shorter. Here is the video to prove it:

Only other differences include a flash for the camera on the Pro, not on the Diamond, and the Diamond has 4gb internal storage, no SD card, and Pro has no internal storage and sd card (comes with 1gb card - expandable to 8gb if not more).

I'm getting the Diamond as well because the Pro seems too bulky. I don't need more than 4gbs, and they will perform the same.
Forgot to mention - Video Out only available for the Touch Pro.

And there is a 16gb MicroSD soon to be available, so the Touch Pro will be able to have the same amount of storage as the iPhone.

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread

i dont mind the typing thing on the Diamond. With my touch i had(3 weeks) i always had it in landscape anyways so it wasnt a huge deal for me. but even in the vertical way i still never had a rouch time typing. I was always typing emails and texts for work too.

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread

hahahah i dont by any means mean to start a war here. But video out and 16gb of storage. i dont know what you plan on putting on your phone to show on a TV(presentations maybe), im not going to try to show off to my co-workers that my phone can run presentations over using the lap+projector. But i dont imagine the battery lasting long enough to run a full movie from the phone.

And 16gb of storage is quite a bit. out of the 45792437591057 songs that i have i dont frequently listen to 2 gb of those....

but it all comes down to preference.

Someone just brought something to my attention. I just looked at the EVP website and the Diamond is no longer there..... any speculation as to what that might mean???
