It seems to me that my phone finds the sattlites much quicker, cold start about 18 seconds, warm start about 8. Before it was more like 90 cold and 30 warm.

Did anyone else try this and what were your findings?

read about 5 post up or so and go back one page and read i tested them and reported that it connects quicker

i think the first post should be updated with these settings as well as the GPS Registry.cab installer

I know I edited my post, sorry to waist everyones time. I was a little slow in my research.

hey i need help!

I did most of the tweaks on the first page, then i edited the GPS to the ip provided courtesy of doug and i got instant satellite connections on google maps. Then I got a hacked version of Tomtom 7 with canada/usa maps and installed in on the phone, did the nessesary adjustments and tomtom started working instantly as well. Now this morning my phone worked perfectly, then i tried to setup messenger live, and from the sign in menu tried to change user id....the windows mobile busy icon appeared and wouldnt go away. So i took out the battery and put it back in.. now something is reallllly messed up!!

The power button sometimes puts the phone into sleep mode and sometimes doesnt when i press it, usually i cant even get out of sleep mode by pressing it again, after using the phone for a bit i get the following error message: Cannot open *****(any program) A critical component is either missing or cannot start because program memory is unavailable..

This is weird because before messenger live froze up on me, the phone was running perfectly..

do a hard reset and start over software wise

no problem. and after a crash like that hard reset is the only option. the telus rom is sucky to the max. im not even using it :P

I would.. but you're all crazy The server makes no difference, as it's the same data you're downloading. I've used both and get the same result. Maybe I'll do it later this week.

could be due to sever load at the time then.
