Can not conect Diamond to PC

I am having a really hard time conecting my Diamond to the PC. It was working fine since yesterday. When I conect it it seems like the PC can not have a continous conection with it. And there is a storage device that can't find the correct driver.

But it was working fine.

Thanks

Re: Can not conect Diamond to PC

Try a different cable, if its still flaky, try connecting via bluetooth (if your computer has bluetooth support). If it works via bluetooth and it flaky on USB, then it is the USB port on your phone. You can probably get that fixed for about $50, but people are selling Diamonds on ebay for $60. You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling ActiveSync(XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista/7)

Hope this helps.

Red face USB CABLE Reply

I was gonna say, that once happened to me. I didn't know you could have a bad USB cable up until that point. One afternoon I was transferring some stuff to the Diamond, and I could keep it connected as long as I wanted until I would try to transfer things, and it would keep failing and disconnecting. Live and Learn, right? I saw those symptoms and thought, "hmm, those seem oddly familiar from a while ago...".

Re: Can not conect Diamond to PC

and it's getting even bad. Now I can not recharge que battery. I leave it conectedo to the PC "charging it" but the next morning it is out of energy.

I want to thinkg in all the other options besides the phone. Can it be the battery? any ideas?

I was not in the mood of buying a replacement right now. I just have like 2 years with it.

You might have to buy a replacement. I mean, you can get 'em on eBay for a dollar (if you can wait a few weeks for shipping from China, LOL!). Are you emotionally attached to this usb cable that you don't want to buy a replacement?

Or maybe just the cable. We hadn't really arrived at a conclusion yet, but either is possible (while the cable is more likely).
