I spend a fair amount of time driving & in traffic, so this is critical...
I really need to be able to dial completely hands free by voice with confirmation through bluetooth while driving. It's a must for me...

Thanks
Mael-X
Now that is a good question, i will test that tonight

Re: Telus HTC Desire

So I upgraded my ROM to this one.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741775

As I said in the other thread. All is working well, except it's quite choppy. When I say choppy, I mean menu systems, any type of gliding the homescreens, or the menus or anything like that.

Just a crappy ROM, or is there something else going on...didn't do it on the original telus 2.1 rom.

***edit

After "Fixing Permissions" and a reboot, things seem smooth again. Will have to give it some time.

Re: Telus HTC Desire

Quick question.

Now that I have 2.2 installed and my phone is rooted will I be able to start from scratch on rooting and intalling ROM's?

What I mean is.

Say it's been awhile and now I want to update again, but forget how and what I have had done already. Am I able to follow those rooting instructions, and do it again. Or will rooting twice cause issues, etc etc.?

Once rooted, you no longer have to do it again. If you do, I don't think it will cause any issues.
Just flash whatever new ROM you want from SD card or use ROM Manager.

Personally, I use and recommend LeeDroid A2SD+... You can find it on XDA.

At least till Mighty & Mr. X release something...

Re: Telus HTC Desire

Mael-X, I have tried and tried to be able to initiate voice command from the bluetooth in my truck. I have not been able to do so. This too irritates me to no end. I am probably going to just download every app that says anything about voice command and see if i can get it to work. If I find one, I will let you know, but don't hold your breathe. This is really my only complaint so far about android. Hell, even non smart phones with voice command and bluetooth support this.
