Use the volume rocker on the left side to send the volume down to zero and voila, your phone will now vibrate with no sound when you get a text message.

I know that way is possible but i want to have it where my phone still rings, rather than having to silence the sound on my phone. As of right now the only way to make it vibrate and still have the phone ringer make noise is to set the text message to have a sound notification as well which i dont want.
