I was thinking the same thing. Not being able to sync the contacts easily is a huge turn-off for me. I got a chance to play around with the phone today at the Sprint store and wasn't overly impressed.

I have been slowly figuring out how to get things into the phone..

If you download the outlook connector you can sort of coppy your contacts to your live/hotmail account and they will end up in your phone. You will need to either use the live contacts in Outlook from now on or keep copying any changes yourself.

For Calendars I have opened up both Calendars in outlook then dragged the appointments to the live calendar.

Not perfect but at least somewhat functional
