luv2chill, I have searched for the newer drivers... If you could post them here that would be great orif you could point us in the right direction that would be helpful. My 6GB card was delivered today and only reads 2GB . TIA.

Sure thing guys, sorry for the delay.
Keep in mind I have read about some issues with these using regular SD cards (i.e. those 2GB or less), so unless you want to help find bugs then don't install these unless you need to use a SDHC card. |

SDHC info for WM6
The Eten users got their dirty little hands on some htc sdhc files which have been used to add sdhc support for a lot of htc devices running wm6. I've included this support in my most recent edition of Helmi's WM6 rom for the Apache.
This thread is to give you a helping hand on getting an SDHC card working on your apache running wm6. Either install my version of Helmi's wm6 rom for Verizon users or run the cab I've attached to this post. Acquire an SDHC card. You can either try to find a Mini SDHC card online (good luck finding one in a store) or you can get a Micro SDHC card with a Mini SD adapter. You will need an adapter/card reader so you can format the card on your computer as most of the time when you put the card in your apache it will not recognize the card until it is formatted. Putting my micro SDHC card in an SD adapter then inserting that into the SD reader built into my laptop didn't work as the sd reader on my new Dell doesn't support SDHC, or at least not with the current drivers. I then put the Micro SDHC card into an SD adapter and then put that into an SD card USB adapter and the laptop found it without any problems. Once you have connected your SDHC card to your computer and you can see the card listed as a drive on your computer, open a command prompt. If you're new to using a prompt, you can do it by either clicking the start button then "Run" then typing cmd, or by going to the Start button, then Accessories. Once you have a prompt open, type diskmgmt.msc and hit enter. You'll now see your various drives on your computer. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SELECT THE WRONG DRIVE. Right click on the drive for your card and select Format. In the box that pops up, select Fat32 for file system and click OK. This will make it so the card can be read by your apache running wm6 as long as you've installed my version of helmi's rom if you're on verizon, or have installed the cab file I'm attaching. I'm currently running a Sandisk 4GB Micro SDHC card on my Apache with a Mini SD adapter and it is working great so far. Good luck all! |

At this point, I'm not sure why its not included w/ every ROM release (much like Verizonguy how he now includes it in his WM6 release based on Helmi's work). |

Running with this installed I've tested so far:
2GB Generic Mini SD - working 4GB Generic Mini SD - working 2GB San Disk Mini SD - working 2GB Kingston Mini SD - working 4GB San Disk Mini SDHC - working 4GB San Disk Micro SDHC w/ Mini SD adapter - working I haven't been able to find a properly formatted card yet that wouldn't work with these drivers. |

Dumb noob question
Will any micro-to-mini SD adapter work? I'm looking at the Sandisk 6GB microSD card on Amazon, but it only comes with a standard SD adapter, so I assume I'll have to find a mini adapter elsewhere.
Are they all the same, i.e. including for "HC" cards? XV6700 w/ Helmi WM6 here. |

have you tested the Camera yet? (i know for a fact that the camera software does not write on memory cards bigger than 2Gb when recording a video or picture).
let me know, i'm interested in the SDHC cards for the capacity. |
