Yes, I can confirm this works for WM6. I had a few problems such as forgetting to change the reg setting every time you need to connect. But it works very nicely with my laptop. I own a iPhone (please don't hurt me ) too and can confirm it works with it as well.

Has anyone tried connecting more than one computer to the connection?

I am getting around 400kbit/s, usually I get around 800kbit/s through USB.
Is this a known problem?

Actually, any 192.168.x.x (such as 192.168.1.1) is an internal IP scheme used in many networks. By default, most home routers (wireless or not) assign 192.168.1.1 to the router as the home or gateway device.
