Nevermind, I found the problem in another post. I just had to disable bluetooth on the phone and it worked just fine. Seems kind of silly, but oh well, it works. Speed tests show the same result for all 3 methods.

UPDATE ON VERIZON
i just found out that if i del. the cable nut settings my speed jump to 786 kb/s with internet sharing and only 523 on modem link. So just from my exp. i would say internet sharing is the best just my 2cents.

I know with verizon i pay $44.00 for unlimited and i have put it to the test i use it up at work so i can have a wide open conn. and i use about 3gigs a month.

I am also curious as to what you did to increase your speed.

Oh and there is 3 different apps to get your laptop/computer to work with your laptop:

1. Modem Link
2. Wireless Modem (Wmodem)
3. Internet Sharing

I am confused, however, as to what the difference is between the first two. I didn't 'cook' the Modem Link program when I built my ROM but I was wondering if there was a difference.

Anyone with knowledge on the subject, please chime in.
