I was going to say the same thing! Batteries are very cheap on EBAY, and I have had scotch tape on the lid on mine since day 1 because it would come off every time I slid it out of my pocket or out if its protective case.

For about 70.00 you can get a extened 2200 MAH battery with cover. Tyr here http://www.wirelessground.com/utspmovewixv.html

They're cheap alright. I use one as my primary battery and keep the original as the backup.
I'd say the cheapo ebay battery last about 2/3 as long as the UT Starcom original. Usually good for the whole day, if not I charge it or plug in the backup.

I bought a kit, came with a case, battery, extra car charger, belt clip, etc... for $10.
figured it couldn't hurt for the price. gives me an extra car charger to keep in my other car so I don't have to worry about making sure I swap it between cars all time, as well as an extra battery in case I decide to crank the power usage up when I am away from a charger for an extended time (hiking, camping, etc) |

Yep, it's a bargain. You could buy 5 of those eBay battery kits or 1 OEM battery. Tough choice
![]() I'm just saying that you get what you pay for. Don't expect them to last as long .... |
