Battery case lid is broken

I have the original thin battery, and the prongs on the lid holder have started to break off. Where can I get a new lid for the stock thin-sized battery?

BTW, I need to buy a new battery soon, so if there is a thin battery that ships with a replacement battery cover, that would be great ...

I was going to say the same thing! Batteries are very cheap on EBAY, and I have had scotch tape on the lid on mine since day 1 because it would come off every time I slid it out of my pocket or out if its protective case.

They're cheap alright. I use one as my primary battery and keep the original as the backup.
I'd say the cheapo ebay battery last about 2/3 as long as the UT Starcom original. Usually good for the whole day, if not I charge it or plug in the backup.

I bought a kit, came with a case, battery, extra car charger, belt clip, etc... for $10.
figured it couldn't hurt for the price. gives me an extra car charger to keep in my other car so I don't have to worry about making sure I swap it between cars all time, as well as an extra battery in case I decide to crank the power usage up when I am away from a charger for an extended time (hiking, camping, etc)

Yep, it's a bargain. You could buy 5 of those eBay battery kits or 1 OEM battery. Tough choice ;-)
I'm just saying that you get what you pay for. Don't expect them to last as long ....

yeah, you get what you pay for, but it will serve in an emergency :-)
