I have to suggest another culprit.. If you hard-reset the device, and try to remove all the plug-ins, you should come across a never ending lockup cycle. If you do all but the bottom, or the Bluetooth and then try to remove it after hitting ok once, it will not lock-up.

Can anyone confirm that this happens? I am using Verizon, but it shouldn't make any of the difference.

So, this is the order to produce this lock-up.

1. Hardreset
2. Let it boot up and before Customization, if you don't have your EXT ROM used for personal storage soft-reset the device before it can install carrier CAB's.
3. After you have bypassed this process, try to remove all of the today plug-ins. This will lock the device up.

So, I think this last plug-in may be a problem area. Maybe for those who use it at least.

Weatherpanel version included in this ROM (WM6), for all intensive purposes, should be updated to another version or downgraded to a previous version. Getting weather to get setup for the first time is a flip of a coin in the dark.

Although, it is much better than the stock ROM, so I still can appreciate this WM6 ROM to be a work in progress.

Okay, I'm a little confused about a couple things from your post. When you say "last plugin" are you referring to the last one in the available plugins list (which for me is HTC BT quicklink), or the last one i have checked? Also, what if someone has changed the order? Or are you simply meaning the last one regardless of what it is?

Also, not sure what you mean about wp being included in this rom? I have seen it on others but not helmi's wm6. Or have I missed an update...

/scurries off to check the sticky/

I have a program that does do a proper shutdown when the battery gets to 0% (which is about 5 mins before the battery completely dies) It's a freeware program called batti

http://pda.jasnapaka.com/batti/

its really cool... it shows information about your battery that other programs never have. you need to configure it to turn off device at 1 percent (as you know, the device jumps at 10% intervals)
