Could be waiting to see if there is any truth to the rumor that an official WM6 is due out this month.. I don't believe the rumor, but would still wait a couple weeks before putting out a full kitchen...

That's like the pot calling the kettle black.

You guys need to have patience. If there are show stoppers go back to WM5. No one forced you to use WM6.

I think w0rdie had a valid point when responding, though he could certainly have worded it better . There is no need to start a flame war over someone asking a simple question. And I think he's asking a valid question. Many people are wondering and are anxious. We can all be patient, since just a couple weeks ago we all thought WM6 would never work on the 6700.

To those who are working on this:
I hope you don't take offense at anyone asking. Take your time, take a vacation for crying out loud. We all know you do this for free in your spare time. We are interested in knowing, but speaking for myself, I've got all the time in the world to wait, so don't feel rushed.

Just as necessary as his comment to me.

Is it? Pot calling the kettle black huh? I would be interested to hear you validate that statement.

Who isn't being patient, at what point did I demand that the developers hurry things along? I merely asked, asking a question do not constitute being impatient.

Moreover, who said I had moved on to WM6?

Your original question was fine. There's a lot of past history in this forum of poeple being demanding (in a reallly offensive way) to the point of driving authors away (it was sad to watch). Consequently, it's become customary in this forum for questions of When? to be answered by Silence from the authors and Shhh from others users. As a developer, I really don't have patience for snively demanding users. As a user, I at least like to know if the project still has a pulse. So - no, it's not ready, and yes, it's very much alive. When the next milestone is reached, you'll read it on PPCGeeks first.

Sadly, you can very easily make your own WM6 roms with information that is here in the forums. I realize that it is not the easiest thing to do, but it is possible. That said, we are working on Helmi's time schedule. I could put out a kitchen in a day or two, but that would not be respectful to Helmi and his wishes/work. So, we wait.

Now, WM6 will take quite a while to get a kitchen that everyone will be happy with. As we have seen, there are quite a few bugs and issues with the release rom that will take time to work through. As a reference, with the Bell 3.3(ish) kitchen, it took a couple weeks. And, this was a rom that was designed for the Apache. So I would say that if you really "need" a custom WM6 rom, come find me and I will point you in the right direction as to making your own with the "old, manual method". Or, have some patience and wait for a good product. Last I checked, our pay stubs from kitchen development was lacking in hours paid:mrgreen:(Edit: Sorry, didn't mean to sound bitchy).

Very easy to validate. You thought he was rude so you needed to take it a step further by cussing at him. Wouldn't that make you the ass you so easily stated he was?

Brothers of the PPC Junkies, can we all settle down now since the point of this thread was to find out when we are getting the kitchen and now that we all know its going to be a few weeks, settle down.

You are all right and you are all wrong, that is the beauty of the cycle of life. Now lets all hold hands and do the happy dance.

Perhaps it'd be a good idea if people made suggestions as to what they'd like to see included in the kitchens? Eg: the SDHC files, perhaps a custom PPCGeeks welcomehead96, etc. You know? (Unless I'm overlooking a thread that's asking for suggestions..not counting the bugs thread.)
