I find the PocketSand to be absolutely addicting.. I've sat and used up an entire battery playing it.. I didnt realize I had.. it's so much fun.

Deepfish is really fun to play with. I lacks a lot but it will get better. HTC Audio manager has always been amazing to me. Unfortunately i only found out since flashing this rom how to keep the music playing with the music off! Now it's even more amazing. (FYI just turn the pda off while the music is playing through HTC A.M.) Other than that the rest are just bonuses. Like most of you I also cannot wait for the kitchen.

This worked, thanks. The only issue is it appears to be missing the icon for back (the button at the top right of the buttons). It looks like it's supposed to be there, but all I see is a white blank space. Is there any way to fix this?

My only quibble with this ROM is the redundancy of multiple browsers, etc., taking up space. But I do have to admit that I have given Deepfish another chance after chalking it up to little more than a demo when I first rushed to sign up and install it. I still wouldn't put it in a stock ROM, since I still prefer Opera Mobile as an alternative browser, and I know many others do too.
Another vote for the Pocket Sand game. It finally got my son and goddaughter playing something on my phone other than StarPop and is fun for me, too. Crosswords is good. Kevtris was nice, as was the Rubik cube game. Thumbs up on the HTC Home plug-in, though I'd almost think the Customizer should go hand-in-hand with it. It does well what I had three plug-ins doing just slightly better, though the clock is too big. Audio Manager is one I had installed on AKU 3.5 and still like. PIM Backup and Pocket RAR are nice to have, too. The TCPMP was a nice touch, but I know it's causing problems for some. Adobe Reader Lite kept me from installing a freeware reader. I could live without Yahoo! Go, for sure. No interest in DopeWars. I've got three or four registered games with sudoku and I didn't think the Pocket Sudoku was all that good. I run PHMRegEdit and installed that before I even noticed the Resco programs, but I'm used to PHM anyway. Would definitely like Touch FLO if we can get it. And the PCMKeyboard is a MUST! I think the only other piece of freeware I'm running that wasn't included is the Sun-Moon plug-in, which I know not everyone wants. And I would like the voice command to be installed and running properly for everyone. As it is, once everything's more stable and there's a kitchen, I'll probably make the above adjustments myself. In the meantime, no real complaints and lots of improvement. Excellent work! |

I'd really prefer Total commander to Resco, as it is free, and does everything Resco does. I didn't find a code for deepfish until today so I can't say anything about it (besides my wifi doesn't seem to work under WM6). I never bothered with the sand game until this rom, and I must say I have really been missing out. It is very addicting. I don't mind Windows Live, but I don't use Yahoo Go enough to keep it around.
As for the today interface, it is really nice, but the lack of customization blows it. Under favorite people it defaults to the mobile number and I see no way of changing it. Under the weather, if I don't have a data connection it always shows unable to download before showing me the weather, which is kind of a duh announcement, then on top of that, it defaults to the daily reading with no way of customizing that either. Everything else I like well enough, but it doesn't hold a candle to my original set up of Spb Pocket+, Diary, and Weather. If there was any way to customize the stuff on there it might be better. I always prefer Calc Lite to the regular calculator so I am happy with it's inclusion. I've never seen anything showing how to remove the standard calc from the rom so I don't mind it being there. Also I've always had multiple browsers to try others out, so I don't mind them really. Everything else is pretty standard stuff I've gotten used to using on my roms, so it's all good. I even like the new menu which I had never used before. |

Just a word of advice... if you don't like a particular piece of software that came preinstalled in the ROM, just use file explorer to go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs, find the name of the program, and delete it. In this scenario that's basically the same as uninstalling it.
Absolutely everything in this ROM goes into a separate (ROM) partition on your device, so even if there were more or less stuff built into the ROM, it doesn't affect the amount of free space on your device at all. It's all basically "free" in terms of space (unless you consider opportunity cost of not including other apps in the ROM--but that part won't come until helmi gives us the kitchen anyway). So for the stuff that's bugging you or clogging up your Programs folder, just delete the shortcut--out of sight out of mind! ![]() P.S. FaerieFire, I agree Pocket Sudoku isn't that great--but it was freeware and not abandoned by the author so that's why it's included. I use and really like Resco Sudoku myself but we obviously can't include it because it's commercial. If you (or anyone else) know of a better free WM5/WM6-era sudoku game to substitute please sugest one! |

I have been playing SuperDoku by Mike Miller. I like it the best of the games that I have palyed. Here is the link. http://www.freewareppc.com/games/superdoku.shtml
Also, thanks for all the hard work that you have put into producing these ROMs. The devotion and time that you spend on producing a product that is vastly superior to the the OS that comes on these phones is simply amazing.
