No phone? Really? Wow. Evidently it lost the registry for the phone app. I take it no backup?. The hard reset should fix the issue. For your own peace of mind, I'd recommend a backup utility. With WM5 or 6, or whatever it is an absolute necessity. I personally use SPB backup, but there are others out there. Good luck.

Well hard reset and installed WM6 works. Phone back and running... thanks.

I wish I had seen this thread earlier, but WM6 is worth the upgrade anyway! Sounds like you may have been in flight mode where your radio turns off. Oh well, enjoy WM6!

no definitely not flight mode. something was foobarred... and the phone app it self was not there or "missing".
