to get into bootloader mode, press the button near the top on the left side (has the tape icon on it), at the same time, press the power button on top, and the soft reset button at the bottum of the phone. It may take a few tries, but you'll know when you're in bootloader when you get a dark screen that shows your bootloader version at the bottom, and should say serial at the top, then change to USB when you connect to your pc.
once in bootloader, connect to your pc, amek sure you have activesync running, launch the .exe from your new ROM, follow the prompts....pretty easy. not sure if there is a way to backup your current ROM, but you can easily download & reload the original ROM from HTC. pcpal,
Helmi has provided a very user-friendly interface with detailed step-by-step instructions, once you get to it. First thing you need to do is download and install a trial version of winrar ( http://www.win-rar.com/) to unpack the file. Then download Helmi's rom and double click a few times. Follow his directions EXACTLY and you should be OK. Good luck, tmb |

Not a Dummy anymore.
OK, I got it and figured it out. I ran the update and was happy as a clam until I realized my vidoe's were running choppy. I watch a lot of music videos and none of them were playing at normal speed. I removed it and returned to the original rom for now. Guess I better donate if I want this thing to work its best.
