Plantronic Voyager 510

Guys

I just got my new Voyager 510. Great BT. Sound is great. Fits well. But i just realised that i cant answer a incoming call using my Voyager. It does indicate that i am getting a call but i cant answer it. And then if i use my PPC 6700 to answer the call, the audio is not through the BT.
Am i missing something?

i have the same BT headset and it works perfectly, love it. when the phone rings i hit the lil button on the boom and it answers, tap again and it will hang up the call. i would try upairing the two devices, soft reset of the 6700, then pair them again. if that doesnt work then maybe return and get another 510 as it may be defective...i would think it easier to replace too.

I have the same headset also. You just have to remember, if you answer the call by pressing the answer button on the phone the sound will go to the phone. All you have to do is press the button on the BT headset and the sound will come out of it. I hope this helps.

Yup...the 510 is solid with good battery life.

Their 655 is my fav, but it does not enjoy the same loing battery life as the 510.

510 is solid, the black ver 2 ones are supposed to be a bit better than the blue rev1 units as the black ones have built in foam to help with wind noise.

I have the Plantronics Discovery 665 Bluetooth headset. The battery life is actually pretty good with it. The sound quality (both mic and headset) are very good also. This is the best Bluetooth headset I've had thus far and the Plantronics products are worth the extra price. I believe the model I have is their "top of the line/flagship" product.

That said, nothing is as good as a full wired headset where the microphone goes right to your mouth (like the kind you'd use for a cordless home telephone). You just look stupid in your car driving around with one, but if it is that important of a call, I'll whip that bad boy out. The sound is far superior over any Bluetooth headset as none of them have the mic part actually down around where your mouth is. They all sit around your ear.

I'm sure, as with any technology, that bluetooth headets will continue to get better in time.

I also have a 590 Pulsar.

Fantastic sound, excellent telephony audio performance, good battery life,
huge bluetooth antenna...

...but a little to obvious for driving in traffic.

I use them periodically as my PC headset for music and gaming, btw.
