XV6700 won't Power off after XX minutes

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything specific to this issue.

When I go to START-SETTINGS-POWER-ADVANCED, I have "On battery power" checked and set to 3 minutes. I do not have or want "on external power" checked. i have also unchecked the Backlinght "Off" boxes for battery & external.

The problem is that the device will NOT power off regardless of what amount of time I select, 30secs, 1-min, 3-min in "On battery power" . . . nothing! It just sits there, powered on. ADVERSELY, the Backlight settings work fine, and it will dim based on the time interval selected. But, this doesn't help me after the device wakes up on an event. Because, it just dims & won't power back off.

Can anyone offer me any help or advice to getthe device to POWER off at the selected time interval and after events???

I am having this trouble as well, but not all the time. I was thinking it may be Phone alarm related. are you using phone alarm? I will be interested in what you find out. I am running custom rom with spb mobile shell, wisbar advance 2, and newest Phone alarm.

If I can help you in any way, let me know.

I looked into the registry & started playing with the following keys & values. The values are Decimal, NOT HEXIDECIMAL!

"BattSuspendTimeout" seems to be the cuplrit that matches up with "On battery power". I did get the device to Auto-off in about 90 secs using settings. WHY 90????? Well it also looks like the "BattResumingSuspendTimeout (15)" is tacking time on. I could be totally wrong! So I'm hoping someone with more knowledge will chime in here.

Nonetheless, it turns off now. EXPERTS, let us here from ya!

HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Power
BattPowerOff (60)
DisableGwesPowerOff (1)
ExtPowerOff (0)

Do you have any programs that are set to run on suspend/resume? (i.e. spb mobile shell, "screensaver" like programs, etc.)

I do use the spb "now" screen. should disable it and see if that could be it. Are you using it?

Well, im not necessarily saying that it is the culprit, but anytime you use a program that is set to run on suspend/resume, i would check those settings first... Let me know what turns up...
