I'm having a problem that every time I soft reset, I lose my POP email account, as well as my Signature w/ my Exchange account. I'm using the Sprint customization, and have added my own programs to the Ext_ROM. Currently I have the following OEMs:

Adobe Reader LE
CoolCamera
DeviceLock
DictEditor
Magic Button
MemMaid 2.0
Intent Midlet Manager
iPhone Dialer
PHM Regedit
PocketRAR
Resco Explorer 2007
SmallMenu
SpbBackup
SuperCalendar
TCPMP
Toggle Speakerphone
Ultimate Advantage Calculator
WiFiFoFum

These are the same OEMs I used in the original Helmi 3.5 ROM and all worked fine, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for any and all replies.

Silly me. When I re-flashed my Apache, I forgot to include MMS. Can I install MMS through a cab file?

Also, is it generally faster to run applications through ROM than flash? This time around, I installed only the basics in ROM and installed my major applications on flash. It doesn't seem quite as zippy.

Problem with 70 second freeze?

I've installed the 1.0.4 kitchen on my Cellular South Apache phone. The only app I added to the kitchen was the Threaded SMS app. The kitchen runs fine, the phone is a LOT faster -- it's basically a brand spanking new phone However, I've run into a single problem:

At times I will be in an app (or every now and then just on the Today screen), and when I hit the Start menu, the Start icon/word in the upper left will light up like it's been chosen, but then the entire phone freezes for about 70 seconds -- long enough for the backlight (set to turn off after 1 minute) to turn off. After that 70 second pause, every keypress I've hit to try and get life into it fires off in rapid succession. I haven't been able to get it to happen the same way twice.

Are there any known apps that might cause this problem? Also, can I get BuildOS to spit out a .cfg file of all the files I chose to install, so I can list them here?

Thanks in advance,
DrHogie

I've heard of this with Skype. Did you perhaps install that?

has anyone experienced any beeping sounds when the phone is sleeping? My phone will beep with the "Default" beep. I'm not sure what's causing it. It's sporadic.

I've checked all my sounds and notifications. None are setup to use "Default".

6700Yuma: Nope, no Skype. No custom apps in the kitchen other than the ThreadedSMS, which really isn't a custom app. When I get a chance to, I'll reflash the phone on a very barebones ROM and see if it still happens, and I can go from there.

Associations for sound files to sndplay.exe not working.

I flashed to Helmi's 1.0.4 AKU 3.5 release... all looks well except that I discovered that sound files will not play when I attempt to do so from Explorer (or Total Commander). I looked at the .wav file association in the registry, and changed it from "sndplay.exe "%1"" to the same thing except without the quotes around the %1. Now I can play sound files from these apps.

Ok, I may as well ask. I realize a lot of you have switched to Helmi's new WM6 release, but the 1.04 kitchen still works well on my 6700 which has recently become my wife's primary phone. I seen somebody else several pages back had a similar issue... When any incoming call comes in, upon answering it the phone will log two calls. One is the contact in her list, and the other simply says UNKNOWN. The odd thing is, it seems that the UNKNOWN is the one logging the calls airtime, and the actual contact is the one being logged as the 'missed' call. Now, its not like its an end of life situation if its not remediable , however as it is an annoyance it would be great if somebody knew how to fix it. Seems as though perhaps the HTC 6 button plugin may be to blame here, but I just don't know...

You can always add applications via .cab.

It should be about the same speedwise, installing to ROM or storage memory unless the ROM image uses modules (they're the ones with .dll/.exe subdirectories)...then ROM will be faster.
