Can you put the card in your desktop/laptop card reader and directly transfer the file? It will be a lot faster that way.
Also, if you have a wireless network, you might try copying the file that way, using the 6700 to browse shares and then copy the file via total commander. ActiveSync seems to barf on "large" files. |

I tried to use the wireless and go to a share and transfer the file, It would not do it, tried to copy, and move both, neither would work, the closest it got was 5% and it puked. I don't have a card reader, I also tried to find the plugin to make total commander act as a usb drive, no joy. I also tried WM5 storage, it still would not recognize it was a usb drive.
Edit. I was using the program wrong. You have to turn on wm5storage THEN plug it in to the usb, works like a champ now. Thank you all for your help. |

Re: Cannot Transfer Large Files to 6700
I have this problem too on my 6800. I searched around and this is the only thread I could find that relates.
What can I do to fix this problem for my 6800? I have WM6.1. thanks. |

Re: Cannot Transfer Large Files to 6700
Ideas:
Could be an issue with an under powered USB port... Use the cradle and the external power supply... Make sure no other programs are competing for use of the USB port by disabling them (such as HotSync for the PalmOS) Let your Outlook finish syncing before you attempt a file transfer... Make sure your USB Port driver for your PC are up to date... You might even need to switch out the Vendor suppied drivers for the Microsoft versions, or visa versa... Try WM5torage... Its a great program and faster than ActiveStink... Try a different PC and/or OS... You might try creating a VMWare XP Virtual PC and connecting to it from there... (This is a good way to Flash a ROM too if you can't get Vista working!) Good Luck... |

Re: Cannot Transfer Large Files to 6700
Another thing you can try is to enable RNDIS by checking the "Advanced Network Functionality" box in Start>Settings> USB to PC. Of course, if this makes it so you can't connect, it won't be a viable option...
