I can't get hbutton to work. anyone else?

The hbutton shortcuts are in \windows - so the shortcut buttons (hbutton1-5) don't show up when I try to assign a button to them.. Moved it manually so that they could be assigned - but now it just goes to the first item setup under that button when I click that button..

i.e. if I setup hbutton1 as internet explorer, google map, and live search, pressing the button just goes to internet explorer...

Anyone else see this?

3 Issues

I am unable to create a new contact in PocketCM. When I click new->contact, it loads PocketCM and that is it..

I have no caller ID now. The phone just rings and I see nothing pop up anywhere..

Edit: Added additional issue.
I am no longer able to turn off the data connection on the com screen. The icon always stays shaded.

I am a noob at this so no telling what I might have screwed up though...

I've been using your ROMs for several months now. I'm having some serious problems with 1.03.

My main problem has been with my phone completely locking up. This has happened twice and both times the phone has just been sitting on my desk. When I try to reset the phone, it hangs at the green Windows Mobile screen. The only way to get past it is to hard reset. The second time I didn't have an SD card in it at all and no programs are installed to the SD card.

My ROM is pretty basic - Just Voice Command, HTC Home 6 button plugin, and the extra themes and rings. I use verizon and everything works fine until the phone locks up. It's happened twice in the last 3 days.

I haven't seen anyone else have similar problems, so maybe it's just my phone - Verizon offered to replace it with a 700wx the last time the little direction stick broke, so maybe it's time to switch.

Thanks to the folks that are helping make OEM packages.
I made a rom with the new Contact Manager app, using it for a day now, no problems

You may need to double check that none of the files in the PCM OEM overlap those of other selected OEMs (i.e. the same filename is used in multiple OEMs).

I presume when you say "new->contact" you are using the functionality of the "Optional_WM5NewMenu" OEM. In order to take over the functionality of the standard Contacts screen PCM changes the following registry key...
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS]
"1"="\"\\Windows\\pocketcm.exe\""
This causes PCM to launch from most places where Contacts formerly launched. This is why PCM is popping up instead of the new contact input.

Either launch the new contact add dialog using PCM, or change the PCM .rgu file to be...
Code:
REGEDIT4

;======================================================
;Contacts Button
;======================================================
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY\KEYS\113]
  @="Contacts"
  "Open"="pocketcm.exe"
This will set up PCM to launch from the Contacts soft key, but not from other locations that launch contacts.

This usually occurs when there is an error in one of the .rgu files. Think carefully over any edits you made since the last time it worked. Sorting the OEMs by their last modified date may help with that. The most common error I hit is forgetting to include a blank line at the end of a rgu.
