I called Customer Support to update my PRL

So I have PRL 20224 and I called Sprint and had them flag my account for an update.. I called back and it said that there was a free update blah blah blah, and to stay on the line to download it. After it downloads, it says complete and it resumes the call.

I end the call and check it out and still says 20224.. so I soft reset thinking maybe it needs to reset to update.. nothing.. still says 20224

I call back to Customer Support and get the prompt again that there's a free update for my phone.. I proceed to let it download and then afterwards do a few options on the Sprint menu and hangup.. it still says 20224! wtf?

I call back and it doesnt say that an update is available..

I'm using Kirvins nojunk aku 3.5, anyone know what it's not updating?

While I don't know why it's doing that, why don't you take matters into your own hand?

Download the tool that givws you your msl#, then find the post with the latest prl, and update without the hoops that Sprint is putting you through.

I was scared at first but the tool is awesome, immediately I had my msl and I have never felt freerer.

Good luck,
Erik

Re: I called Customer Support to update my PRL

I would say it's probably something in the rom causing it to not update. I recently called sprint over some dropped calls and they said I needed to update my PRL, so I let em and when I called back it said it was updating blah blah, and then I got a popup on the phone that said phone will restart in 15 seconds, and then it did.

Using a kitchen built rom from about a month ago.
