O thnks I didnt build rom yet , still organizing oems.

EDIT: ok thats not recommended as the dsm file has 2 be made so the kitchen will see it properly.
I just ran and made my dsm file in another laptop so I now have a 1k file where I had 0kB file before. I am updating the oem and suggest you update it also.

Tnanks for the OEM on the Contact manager. Just curious, which version is this? The .11 seems more stable than .10 (click on the right side where the picture should be on the main list and crashes). Ni biggie, as a little file swapping will fix it. Are there any RSS readers built into oem's? Maybe I will play around with that if none avail.

the only stable version of phonealarm in existance is in an OEM in my kitchen if you wanna grab it from there.

works fine, took me about 7 revisions to find one that was stable as an oem and its in there... its an early 1.6 beta

Maxx134: Have you tried using that oem in a kitchen? You need to look at the .rgu file and make a change:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCONTACTS]
"1"="\"%CE1%\\ContactManager\\ContactManager.exe\" "

This makes a broken install, since it is installing into \windows. If you want it to install into \program files you need to edit the initflash to make the dir's and move the files there... Or you can just leave it in windows and change the .rgu to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCONTACTS]
"1"="\"\\Windows\\ContactManager.exe\""

Done that way it works flawlessly in the helmi 3.5 1.0.2 kitchen.

Oh, almost forgot! Tried that PA oem and it does work great. Thanks! After looking at a lot of oem's and trying a few of my own I think I am getting the hang of it. Going to make one out of that zphone dialer and see if it works.

Also, is there a way to automate the process of adding files and folders to the initflash file? I am thinking of putting the commuter skin into my weatherpanel oem, but there are over 350 files that I would have to reference into that file! If not, I guess I will just have to find some boredom time and a lot of coffee :P

With weatherpanel, would you be able to just point the registry to the skin and copy it to your ext rom instead? Could save some typing time and it'd be there through hard-resets.

I suppose I could do that, but I hate to give up valuable file real estate to skins. My current rom is nowhere near full, and if I could stuff it in there I wouldn't lose any space to it. I do a lot of picturemail and need the space. (and tomtom fills my 1g card almost to the max). Already in the process of doing it to my PhoneAlarm skin, and already did it to my wisbar skin. I think I am gonna try booting up the linux partition tomorrow and writing a script to do the nasty work for me. Either it will work brilliantly, or I will have a txt file with every file on my system listed (I can't even imagine)! I seem to be good at finding the only way to screw things up.

Question. I'm just learning this for the fun of it. What is the installation directory for a storage card, if you're making your own .cab?

For example, "%CE1% = Program Folder
Storage Card: "%___% = Storage Card/Program Folder

Thanks!
