Yes, you are right it is mentioned at the end of the file that he stops the bat file (I only see i now on review).....but for a noob (like me) it does not go on to explain what you need to do ....like it appears to be spelled out in the main document.

I think after you get through one of these, the rest then becomes obvious.

My post above was meant only for the complete noob....I was stuck for 2 hours on it...running the CreateROM.bat file over and over again, wondering why it was not running to completion like the Walkthrough said it would....With your comments you have now shown the WHY of it - as seen towards the end of his document, just not "what to do" afterwards.

Thanks for your comments.

This may help, Apparently late last week Weather Panel went kaput....no longer gets data. There is a fix for it -

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/weatherpanel...164.html#77966

I had this same issue over the weekend and I even have the Big 3800 mah battery...when Weather panel cannot authorize it, it keeps trying to hit the server and drains the battery....after I fixed it from the above post, it seems to be much better so far today.

I hope this helps you!

Love the rom!! For youtube, I just went ahead and installed it over the one that was in the rom. Then I installed the flash plug in and it works fine for me. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I installed tcmp and the plug in on my device.

I am having trouble using the 6700 as a modem on my work pc. At one point (many flashes ago and a different model laptop) ago this worked. Now when I try I cant get it to work. Can someone point me to directions to get this working using either internet sharing or wmmodem? I am living on "borrowed" time with admin access on my laptop to try and get this working. Soon I'll have to say bye-bye to admin...

Thanks

I will look into the youtube issues shortly, it works fine for me but I may have altered the OEM in my own personal last build.

The handset will not work as a modem right now, this issue will be fixed in the next release, was actually an issue with the kitchen itself and not the ROM.

I cant comment on the battery, i have my EVDO idle all day long and it seems fine, I did however remove weatherpanel completely in leu of the new HTC HOME plugin that i added wich does weather. Not as nicely i will admit but gets the job done for me none-the-less.

The latest build i have been running for about 3 days now and seems really solid. I want to update a few of the OEM packages with new revisions of stuffs" and I need to go through the kitchen a little more and make sure i got all of the "core" updates from 1.03 to 1.04 (i think i missed some SYS folders).

so far you get a good idea from the screenshots that I finally moved away from the OEM look and feel, honestly i just needed a big phat change myself and I fell in love with that today-plugin. I dont like the 5 or 6 tab version because then its just clutter-fuked and i dont use the phone for music anyways so ya.

The long awaited 10 button COM manager is a sweet addition as well.

Time is short right now cuz i just got back from vacation and still need to unpack and buy all my school books *yuck* but ill revisit where i left off shortly and get a release out (hopefully before school starts).

Thanks for helping each other out. I look forward to updating!

Well if you are using bigj 1.2 and you are syncing with a usb cable then all you have to do is run internet sharing in programs on the 6700 and hit connect. Then on the laptop open Network Connections and you will see a new connection, if so and it says connected all you have do do then is start internet explorer. There is no DUN settings to worry about.

Heya Big J, my phone was crashing repeatedly earlier this week and despite a number of hard resets I ended up going to Phoenix's ROM.

I have been getting over withdrawal symptoms from not having the WeatherPanel radar map on my screen, but overall the HTC Home plugin is decent.

I also have the cube application functioning flawlessly, but I'm quickly getting bored with it and don't think it's worth the overhead -regardless how minimal it may be.

Your instructions for the ROM kitchen were amazingly easy to follow, but due to time constraints (and the fact you build in all that I need anyway) I will not likely pursue that any longer. However, should you stop cooking, I may once again have to get out the chef hat.

Thanks again,

Rage

Thanks again for your work BigJ - it really is a marvel!

Just to calrify the Youtube issue -

It looks like you implemented a "download to phone and then play" type of solution to youtube. - I think....it may work just fine......I don't know as I never tried it after having tasted the fully integrated solution that plays FULL (not mobile) youtube streams over TCMP.

Check the link below for more info - I just want to make sure we are talking the same thing. Thanks! (I appologize for beating a dead horse if this was clear before)
