Yes I encountered the same problem & I am using phoneweaver as my profile changer. But somehow, i could fix it.

What I did was....make sure that you have the same ringtone assigned for sms notification in settings/sound & notifications/notifications/ event:/ messaging:new message (palm message); and in my phoneweaver settings.

Thats weird, I don't even have those options under my sounds and notifications?? I was under the impression that you no longer need to run the extra .cab file that was for SMS and MMS message, am I wrong?

Are the video messages I receive supposed to go to messaging or the threaded SMS program. I am a little confused on this. I am with Sprint and all my pic messages go to the Threaded SMS and are tiny. I can't see them at all?

Thanks for all your help everyone!
I have Verizon..my MMS go to the MMS folder not the threaded messages..however I recall seeing a fix for that reading some of the posts on sprint..sorry I really can't help you out on this issue, but I am sure there's someone who will post a reply on how to get this working for you again..try browsing around cause I am sure I saw this problem quite a few times on the APACHE forum..good luck!

your phone is fked up, it works fine, i have 2 verizon phones i test with (phones not PDA's) as well as a cingular handset, a mogul, a sprint 4920, and an LG 550 fusic....

all the txt work fine, your issues run deeper than my ROM. if they work fine w/out my ROM, you can do two things...

1 dont run it

2 install the p-sms as a cab file and soft reset, that will overwrite the rom settings and change them to that of the cab install.

Does placing call firewall in the startup cause voice command not to load followed by a system lockup for anyone else?

I'm really enjoying this rom. Previously, I had been using sardinour's, but decided to give this a try. My only current complain is with threaded SMS. I do appreciate that email's actually show up correctly now, but now Voice Command won't announce my incoming text messages, and in fact, there's no notification at all. No sound, no vibration, nothing. Being "on-call" I get pages via SMS, and need notifications. Is there a way to get notifications back with threaded SMS, or failing that, a way to disable threaded SMS completely?

Thanks,
Michael

Thats the same problem I am having above. I haven't had this problem though with this ROM until now. The strange thing is that some people don't have this problem. I am wondering if I am just doing something wrong??

Backlight

I just noticed another very minor bug with this ROM. For some reason no matter what I set the Backlight settings to on battery power it always defaults back to 10sec. I am trying to leave the backlight on for 1min rather than 10sec.

The Voice Command notifications messed up all of my alerts as well. I suggest telling it not to announce incoming email/text, then soft reseting. Now go to settings and sounds, and pick the threaded SMS listing under notifications. Simply hit play if you are happy with it, and you are done. For some reason this app never notifies or does anything until you have done that, even if you don't actually make a change. If you are looking for vibrate make sure you have input the reg entry in the first thread.

This should work for any of you that are having problems with notifications, unless you are running phone weaver, in which case I can't help you, I don't use that.

Geebee75 Are you talking about SMS or MMS? Text or pix? Because that error really sounds like a MMS outbound error if you use the threaded app to send, go over to the inbox and then MMS and try from there. If it is SMS then I've never seen it either, and I'm on Verizon....

I think I heard in one of the other threads this is phone weaver. Disable that and see if you can make the change. It could be Slide2Unlock if you use that as well.

Again, most 'bugs' people find are with apps not interacting well, and not this (or any) rom.
