How does one add MS Push Email?

I downloaded and installed the newest version of this ROM, and I noticed that my text messages are being messed up. I don't know who is sending them because it places the first word of the message into the header. I read this thread and performed the suggested regedit, but that didn't fix the issue. Any other suggestions?

No, I don't know about the server version. My client version is v4.9.3.34 if that helps.

As soon as he removes it and i update, i'm going to need it rofl. I used it once and it was more difficult than i thought it would be. I guess I could live without it, i carry my laptop around.

Babcocca...you just have to go to ActiveSync and configure your Exchange server information there. As long as your admin configured everything properly on the server, you shouldn't have any problems.

The one thing you might have to do it add the SSL certificate for the server. If you have SBS 2003, just open PIE and go to https://yourexchangeserver.ext/certsrv

You can do this OTA or via WiFi if you want. Or grab the cert and copy it up to the phone via your PC.

Once that's done, configure your ActiveSync with the stuff your admin should give you and you'll be syncing.

We've been doing it with all flavors of Exchange 2003 and 2007.

Make sure your admin has Exchange 2k3 SP2 installed so you get the true push email and get whacked with txt charges.

Well, if I would have read the FAQ about the 1.0.4 Kitchen I would have known what I did wrong.

To those of you having this problem, DON'T allow the EXTROM to customize the device on first boot. This screws everything up. Refer to the original Helmi thread for info on this.

Weird, the Office Mobile folder under Programs has disappeared. The programs are still installed, but the links under Programs are gone.

I appreciate the hard work, time and brain power you have put into this ROM. I REALLY enjoy the look, feel, features and all that other gushy stuff.

I have a XV6700 Verizon, with Moto H700 BT earpiece.

Has anyone had any trouble getting this earpiece to sync with their XV6700 after this ROM install? I am convinced it is my hardware, but I wanted to check and see.

how do you change the settings to the HTC 6tab?

Very nice. I'd been running one of the Colonel's updates and kept having to soft reset several times a day. This is much more stable. Three questions/comments :
1) My voicemail at my office sends me emails with the voicemail attached as a WAV. With other ROMs, once the attached WAV was downloaded in Outlook, I could just tap on the attachment link in the message and Windows Media would open and play the voicemail. With this ROM, nothing happens when I tap the attachment link. I have to save it to my SD card and then open it up with Windows Media or TCPMP. Any suggestions?

2) I hate to admit it, but I actually use Transcriber. I've looked around for a CAB to install it and none of the ones I've Googled will actually install. Is there a download that you know of? I've installed a demo version of Calligrapher in the meantime, but it is a memory hog.

3) Just as an FYI, on my PPC the midlet manager does not allow me to use my finger to navigate with Opera Mini installed. I installed the jmm.exe one and it works fine.

I didn't think I removed transcriber.....

Any idea how to reinstall?

The only input method that doesn't work for me is NullKB- it immediately switches to the standard keyboard after selecting it, so I'm stuck with that damn keypad popping up.

My H700 sync'd with my XV6700 first try.

I have that exact same issue. Just for info, the wav files are encoded using GSM 6.10 8kHz Mono. Worked fine on Sar's ROM.

The other issue I've been having is with the phone hanging up after pressing send. It starts to connect the call, then disconnects it. If you press send again, it goes through. This happens about 99% of the time. It happened on Sar's ROM, as well as the official Verizon ROM sometimes. Wierd thing is that BigJ's Hybrid ROM worked fine in the phone app...typing in txt's/emails was rediculously slow so I had to switch.

I know I will need it... We can't use Remote Software on the LAN where I am most days, but I have to support other sites... Every once and a while the Remote Desktop on the phone has been a godsend...

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the ROM...I have tried several other all-inclusive roms, and maybe it is my phone, but I have had stability issues with all of them....this one is working perfect for me so far.

One question though...

Would it be possible to include basically a recompressed copy of the kitchen that you used to build this?

What I am thinking is a kitchen that has ONLY the Optionals included that you are using in the build.

Basically the build instructions would be "select everything" choose provider specific customizations (Sprint, verizion, etc), then build

The reason I ask for this is that it would be an easy way for people to remove things from it that they don't want (Remote Desktop for some) or for other people to include other CABs that they definitely want.

Dunno, just a thought...I realize that in theory I could grab the basic kitchen, not select much and in theory get something similar to this...however, in my experience these C&S builds have some added tweaks and enhancements that improve stability over the basic kitchen...maybe that impression is purely psychological though.

Let me know if there is a good reason NOT to do this...thanks.

The night I upgraded, I was looking at both your ROM and Kirvin's newest and had downloaded and tried both. I thought the one I setlled on was yours, but I now realize that it was Kirvin's. I'm really sorry about the confusion.

Interesting that the WAV attachment issue is popping up in several of the newer ROM's.

so far so good, only problem i see is that in file explorer the phone freezes/drags out when trying to open pictures, when in pictures and videos its not a big problem but you have to wait for it to preview load the pictures

In the Comm Manager, the ActiveSync button is ALWAYS greyed out with the little "x" indicating that ActiveSync isn't active, even when I know that it IS. Anyone else?

Just plugged into my USB, AS turned on and the icon turned blue. I have a Sprint PPC6700 though.

By the way, I have been rooting around this forum for a while and was fearful that Good would not work with any updates. As soon as I heard it worked with phoenx06's I took the plunge and am not looking back! Everything works great! Fantastic job and thanks for all you do.

I upgraded from the earlier build, and I'm having two weird errors:

- The phone randomly puts itself into vibrate mode
- When I open an email, it automatically scrolls to the bottom


Is anyone else having these issues?

missing icons and dialpad
 

I'v been using the new rom for a week and all was great til today (Verizon). I now can't see the dialpad - it shows white and the only way I know it's there is if I tap on the screen where the numbers should be, they beep like they're being dialed. If I call from my contacts, the dialpad still is white but the person's name shows up in the right-hand corner. Also, occasionally the icons for backlight and a few other icons in settings disappear. Soft resetting has not helped with the dialpad, but it does as to the missing icons. Anyone know of a solution, short of hard-resetting. Also, how do I set up using the ftp? Thanks!!

Anyone know how to uninstall the HTC 6-tab Home Plugin? I don't see it listed in the Remove Programs list.

I downloaded this new rom to a refurbished phone and it would not sync all my contacts back. When I press the contacts it only show the screen for less than a second and it goes back to the today screen. Any suggestions??

I found a solution. Use Total Commander or Resco File Explorer to associate WAV files with TCPMP. I tried associating Media Player and it doesn't like the format. Now it works great.

flashed this rom two days ago and i love it. BUT . . . now i get a text back everytime i send a text. it gives my number then "SUCCESS" then the number i just texted. how do i diable this? i have already done the hack to stop the "message sent" text but this copmes up as well,

dunno why but recently the sprint rom is giving me problems like windows live account freezing, when im using wmodem or internet sharing it will just disconnect data for no reason but it works ok when im using the ppc only and some other issues too, i even reflashed. im downloading the vzw version right.

I had this same problem try re flashing the phone but don't let it customize at all u have to soft reset in the 3 seconds it gives u....if it starts it messes it all up

I just finish installing this new Rom yesterday and it works great!!! Lots of thanks to all the ROM cookers!!! It seems like I have a brand new 6800!!! Althought the phone is a 6700 lol!!! I guess the trick is to install the ROM and copy all the caps on a separate folder in your memory card and then install them. When you ask to install, install them on your ext Rom. That way it will get your phone function correctly. If you don't do this then your phone will not work properly.

Same thing happened to me. I love the GUI but I couldn't get to my contacts. Also, I lost my radio..... I then reflashed... Nothing......Then to the OEM and back to the modded rom. Lost it again... any suggestions?? by the way I'm on Verizon

I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the HTC home plugin.

Edit: I've found more information via Google / PDAPhoneHome and an updated build of the plugin that doesn't suffer from this issue on XDA developers. I cant post links yet.

I installed this on the 11th or 12th its now the 20th and I'm on my 2nd hard reset! The only thing I'm messing with in the registry is "data block size" and "FatFS Cache" and ReplStoreCacheSize.

Works great until it freezes completely on the "Windows Mobile" splash screen.

Any ideas?

I have not had any issues with this ROM at all. I'm pretty pleased with it so far...
