Sorry guys, thats the only fix I know. But, like I said, as soon as they put out the 1.0.4 kitchen, I will have at least a Sprint and Verizon rom. I will work on others after I have those up and running.

phoenix, i am looking forward to your sprint release of the new version of this ROM. Hopefully the Text Messaging issue will be resolved. I hate receiving texts and having no clue who sends them lol. Keep up the great work! My phone is awesome b/c of it. :salute:

can anyone comment on whether Good Messaging (goodlink) will work in this ROM?

Hey I just flashed this ROM and it is working great. I just had one question that you guys might be able to answer. Whenever I try and open my contacts , they open and then close immediatley. I have tried a soft reset. I am a n00b so any help would be appreciated.

Hey everyone, sorry for not updating. I've been going through some relationship problems lately, and I haven't had much time on my hands. I wont bug you guys with my issues, but I will try to get some new roms out here from the new 1.0.4 kitchen and for multiple carriers. I want to try and make sure there are no issues with the new ones, and see how close to perfect I can make them so there will be less issues. So again, sorry, and I'll update when I can.

I love the rom. Great Job. I have a question... is there a way to install smart dial separately? I love that feature and would really like to have it in this rom. Any help would be much appreciated.

Nevermind. I reflashed and everything is working okay. This ROM is awesome that you sooo much.

hie a newbi here, as usual i am most likely stupid like other newbie. Here is my first stupid question, I cant find the rom. Every time i tried to download my IE shows cant be open.
is there other link for download? and I also cant download the rom kitchen too. thank u.

Hey phoenx I love this c&s rom of yours. It has been the most stable of all the roms I have tried to date. I have a couple of questions though. I noticed that when I scroll through my contacts and try to select the very first contact in any letter group, when I press my action button it calls the first person in my contacts from the 'A' group every time. The only time it does not to this is if when I get to lets just say for example the H group, and then scroll off the first contact to any one below the fist one I have no problem and it calls who it should. Heard of that? and 2nd question. Is there any way to remove the limit or at least increase the size limit of emails I send?

Hey guys, little update. I have a new Sprint, and a new Verizon (thats right) rom cooked and ready to go, but unfortunately I don't have ftp access here at work. I really like the new ones, they are built from the 1.0.4 kitchen, and have some nice little updates to them. While I'm waiting though, what other carriers would you guys like to have a rom for?

Also, I'm thinking of changing the name to Phoenx06 "Keep It SImple, Stupid" 3.5 1.0.4 ROM, curtousy of flyingjoey. lol

sweet I can't wait to check it out when I get home from work!

hey phoenx, I am running your 3.5 c & s rom and it is amazing. I am glad to hear that you have the new roms ready to go. What would you say is different between the old and new roms? How much better are the new roms? Thanks and keep up the great work.

The new 1.04 kitchen is WAY better than the 1.03... You will have to install it so see the difference, but I'm sure you'll love the speed and stability. Going on 4 days without having to Soft-Reset because of error.

Flashed okay. Nice new look. Got my IMAP and internet all set up. Now its time to install some apps.

SO I am new at this
I downloaded the link for the new ROm and I get this message...Just got the ppc-6700 anyone know what I am doing wrong."the central directory was not found in the archive(or you were trying to open a disk other then the last disk of a mulit-disk archive)....I have no clue to what that means. if anyone can give me a clue on how to download this, that would be great

just downloaded and seems great so far, only problem im having so far is with the 6 tab dialer , i can add some contacts no problem but other names will not add into the spots no matter what i do? any ideas on this?>

I think a few of you are having problems with this...I cannot send a pic and when I get the text message with a pic mail address, it just sends me to the sprint web site...Any Ideas..Thanks

1.0.2 to 1.0.4 or newer how to do it without re-flashing
 

As the subject line guys.. I have Helmi's 3.5 1.0.2 and now with these enhancements in 1.0.4 I feel compelled to install that instead.

But here's my dilemma... Is there a way to just install certain individual additions/improvements to my XV6700 without having to re-flash? This way I won't have to re-install all of my other stuff all over again.

Also, I use SPB Backup to backup everything including my ext-rom onto my storage card every night. If I backup everything and then install 1.0.4 and then do a restore.. will that work bug-free?

This is my second post on this forum and I hope someone can help me. I've done research to see if someone else have asked a similar q before and couldn't find anything. So, if there is one somewhere and I couldn't find it, please don't flame me!! Thanks.

palm sms does work on it btw, i saw some1 saying that it doesnt work


3rd rom i flash tonight and u are the current leader

So I can send pics with MMS, however I can view them with the ppc 6700 since I downloaded the new ROM, the text message that I have a pic will show up, however the link just sends me to the general pic mail homepage instead of show the pic like it use to...I am lost on this one

Unfortunately, I too have this issue.

Guys, do a little reading/research please. This issue is common to all AKU3 ROMs and affects everyone. There is no solution other than a complicated workaround using mortscript and the Opera browser. If you are interested in that click search at the top of the page and under user name type:

bonuts

That will bring up his post.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get my Verizon rom uploaded? I'm at work, and I cant access the ftp, but I want to get it out on the net for everyone.

AWESOME rom. i'm the uber n00b here, but i'm getting used to this. I had your previous release and it blew me away. Well now this one blows me away compared to that one! VERY impressed, keep up the good work.

i'll stick with the sprint one, cause i dont really use wireless sync.
