Version cannot be supported error here

Yeah, sorry about that, I made it a rar, assuming I could upload that, and when it denied my file extension, I just renamed it zip, praying people used winrar and just wouldn't notice. Anyway, with verizon, the error we get is "bla bla bla Originator Address Not Found." I had this with arcsoft, and I fixed it by creating the string value "X-VzW-MDN" it's value being my 10 digit number, under WspHeader in the registry. Now, the problem with Palm, is that I don't know where the header information is. I assume this sprint error you're getting is similar to the verizon one, can you receive picture messages right now, with this app? They work for me.

This is from the "VERIZON MMS STEPS- DETAILED" Thread: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/verizon-mms-...t,xvzwmdn.html . . . I already have this info in my registry but it still doesn't work.

"You then need to modify your registry to the following!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]

You first need to make a STRING in this folder...

THe name of ths string is X-VzW-MDN
The value of the string is your 10 digit phone number

Should look like this:

"X-VzW-MDN"="your 10 digit phone number" e.g. 1234567890<--------- make sure you add this to the folder or this wont work!!!!!!!

Then find the following strings and change their values to the following:

"User-Agent"="utstar67kv1"

"Accept"="application/vnd.wap.multipart.related"

"Accept-Language"="en"

Exactly, the MDN was what needed to be created in Arcsoft to fix the outgoing message error. However, I do not know what the equivalent of this in the Palm messaging app is, that is my quest, is to discover this.

Does receiving work for all of you getting send errors? First off, is everyone sure they have their settings right? No message center number, email center number, or mms gateway address, they should all be blank. MMS URL is http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms for verizon, or http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms I think, for sprint. Also, go in to the registry, HKLM/Software/Palm/Varnish/Messaging, and make sure the value for mmsc is the same as the gateway, I found that when I changed mine in the settings in the program, this did not change.

Anyway, this is the error I get.

Message could not be sent. An unspecified error(0x84) occurred while sending the message. Originator Address Not Found. That's the error I get when I try to send MMS.

Receiving works fine.

samw here with vzw.

I am duplicating what you see. same error. I have tryed a various of the mms url and it didnt help. I can get it to upload 100% photo or video. but get same message as you in the end.

I think there has got to be a string or dll that accesses the mdn as you mentioned.

keep plugging away...we will get it eventually.

MMSUAProf is set for treo 750 and MMSUA is also set for 750.... could this have something to do with it?

OffUrRcker 07-18-2007 01:22 PM

Arcsoft has no UAPRof, only a UA, which is set to utstar67kv1. As far as I know, there is no UAProf for the 6700.

I looked at the files in the Palm Messaging app as a last resort, but they are all DLL's, I have no idea if it is possible to edit these.

I looked around fishing on the vzw and vcast urls to see if I could find the 6700 uaprof.xml file.

To give us an idea they look somewhate like this.

Im used both url snooper and blackwidow. Im sure there are others but they have those fairly well locked down.

for example.

http://uaprof.vtext.com/lg/vx7000/vx7000.xml
http://uaprof.vtext.com/mot/v3/v3v1.xml
http://uaprof.vtext.com/lg/vx8300/vx8300.xml
http://uaprof.vtext.com/lg/vx9900/vx9900.xml
http://uaprof.vtext.com/nokia/6236/6236v1.xml

Butload more here.
http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=6&gl=us

I have tryed the following codes for brand name.
"ut", "vzw", "av" "avx" , "aud" "utstar"

I have tryed the following models code combinations.

utstar67kv1
xv6700
ut6700
xv67kv1
ut67kv1

Feel free to try. Im sure it exists somewhere.

If someone can take apart the arcsoft apache mms application we might find the url embedded somewhere inside one of the dlls or something. I think this might be a major development if we can find the location of the url on the uaprof.vtext.com server.
