I really wish people would stop screwing with this. If you don't know what you're doing, don't even bother installing it. Why don't people seem to understand that the repercussions of a failed radio flash could equal a phone useful only as a brick!?

I'll bet there was a time when a lot of people did not know. I successfully flashed my ppc6700 from a download on the Utstarcom website last year. The only difference was it was not done in bootloader mode. So, I will do more research and find the info myself.

Download the file to your computer, unzip the file, and place your phone into bootloader mode.

It will say serial V2.02. Just plug in your USB cable and it will change to USB V2.02.

Then double click on APACUpgradeUt_noID and follow the instructions.

Everyone was/is a newbie at some point.

So am I not able to update the radio ver. on my 6800? Is it pointless to do if it's possible on my 6800? The version I have is 1.32.00. Also, how do I put my 6800 into bootloader mode? I've tried the "record/power/soft reset" press and all it does it simply soft reset my phone, any help? I've tried a search and did reading and I didn't get it. Sorry I'm such a nOOb with ppcs! Thanks again!

Any updates about my non-working bluetooth? Should I just downgrade to the original radio?

Is this the Mogul/Titan forum? No? Well there's your answer.

Why don't people seem to understand that the two devices have totally different hardware.........

You're right. But this isn't a ROM, this is a radio update which could potentially brick the phone...

Yes, and I still am - but IRRESPONSIBLE newbies who ignoring the posting rules, refuse to search the forums, or worse yet ask the same question that was just answered three posts up in the same thread should not be enabled. If it continues, then at some point the real ppc geeks will just stop reading and posting here and will find some other place to collaborate without the distractive equivalent of kindergarteners in the classroom.
It's issues like this that make me hesitate to mention ppcgeeks on another board and to regret those times I have.

You know, I've been on so many different forums, and there are always a group of people that bash on newbies. Newbies pretty much do the same thing over and over again (post in wrong topics, ask the same question someone else just asked 3 posts up, create 3 topics of the same question, etc...). I'm not defending newbies in any way (nor am I trying to continue this newbie discussion), but its always going to happen. Why? Because they're noobs!

Now back to discussing the upgrade to Radio 1.41....

Anyone else having trouble with the bluetooth, or know anything of it? My bluetooth is still not working. I haven't tried a hard reset yet, or a downgrade back to the stock radio.
