I tried doing this radio upgrade and now my internet speeds are abysmal at around 120 and worst yet my storage card programs are not being recognized. Are you suppose to take that out when you do one of these upgrades????

The card shows up on file explorer. The memory indicator says that data is being taken up. But no files are there. Even when I put it in my card reader on my computer, it has no files in it but the memory indicator shows 85% full.

I have got to say... this saved my ass. I installed Jeff's new ROM and it wiped out my radio. Running this brought it back. Thanks a lot!

Yeah so I've noticed that lately, my radio randomly shuts off and won't turn back on without a few soft resets. So I'm going back to 1.27. I've been missing calls, texts, the works...

In my experience, the radio rom upgrade (ver. 1.41) doesn't do that.
I got 4 VZW XV6700 in my household, use by me, wife and kids. We never got any problems with our XV6700, well... except mine which always tried new programs and sometimes messed up the ppc, but after uninstall it, mine working good as usual.

Basic installtion on my XV6700s :
- Use the latest helmi's kitchen.
- Use the latest Radio Rom.
- Install CallBlock (always running on backgroud).

That's it, everything else use standart, no funny themes, dial pad, slide 2 unlock or anything else that I know will hog the cpu or memory. Never got any problems with SMS, MMS, Data Connection, Phone.

And the battery usage is fair, if we don't use a lot of browsing or playing games.

Used to had that problem when I use 4GB MicroSD and it's always corrupted, then I find out that my ppc (xv6700) doesn't support 4GB microSD, change to 2GB and it work fine since the last 5 months.

It's better you take out the memory card before doing any Rom upgrade (either kitchen's or radio rom), just to be save.

EDIT : Always update your roaming at least once a month (on VZW *228 Option 2).

I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. I upgraded to the 1.41 radio, and it gave me a major problem with battery life. I downgraded to 1.27, and same problem. I'd like to go back to the 1.10, but can't figure out which files I need to extract from the utstarcom download to get it done. Any help would be much appreciated.

Stupid question....

I ran the APACUpgrade, it did the checking information and I hit upgrade. Then the thing just went away. APACUpgrade is in the processes list in task manager....I don't really want to end it and screw my phone up.

help

Just upgraded my Alltel WM6 6700 from Radio 1.15 to Radio 1.41. Haven't noticed a difference yet since I had a good signal hear before the upgrade, but will post later when I get home to a bad signal...
