You mean 6700 all the times you typed 6600 right? On my 6600 it never asked for space bar to be pressed... on my original 6700 it did not ask for the space bar either... however on all my recent 6700's it does ask for the space bar to be pressed to reboot...

First are we talking about a 6700 or a 6600?
There are 2 hardware versions of the 6700 this has been discussed there was a chip set change around the time the logos changed from red to yellow, so unless you have a 6700 with the red logo I doubt you have the older chip set. I think the space bare to confirm a hard rest was added when the 2.6 rom was released from sprint. I could be wrong here I and many others have had the same bluetooth problems change the bluetooth device you are using, the multi connect (connects with more than one phone) headsets have always had a problem staying connected to the 6700. There is a reg edit to change the bluetooth sleep time on the 6700 that was reported to help with this but it eats battery. I would have to do some searching to find the thread but it is here search this forum if you don't find it let me know and I will try to find the thread.

I edited the post to make it clear that I was talking about the 6700.
So that leaves the question of whether the version that I have (that does not ask for the space bar to be pressed) - which does not appear to me to be dependent upon what rom is installed - causes any problems. For one thing, would there be any reason to warranty it out and get a new one? Should people care which hardware version they have? With respect to the bluetooth issue, are you referring to the btl regedit? I'll look to see if I can find the thread you're referring to, but I have looked extensively in the past and don't remember seeing the thread about headsets that pair with multiple devices. Thanks for the heads up though. |

Hey Big D5, I found this post:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/bt-issues-wi...antronics.html But didn't see a registry edit. It seems like some people had better luck with newer phones. I guess I need to start testing my roms without certain programs installed, and may even go back to the original rom to see what happens. Right now I'm running an r4 kitchen based rom with phonealarm, wisbar lite, and the wireless today plugin. Anyone of these it seems could be contributing to the problem. Also, do you ever get a loud buzz on your bluetooth instead of sound when a call connects. I have to shut off the headset quickly and soft reset later or the buzz will keep coming back. Weird. This happens with my Plantronics 510 and also with a Jabra headset I had before that. |

And FWIW, I have never had any Bluetooth issues (have a Jabra BT350 headset and a Holux GPSlim 236)... not sure if that's pertinent or not. |

Is there any way to change the bluetooth stack completely or take the bluetooth stack from an older rom or something along those lines so I can keep a 3.5 rom? If that would even help... |
