will the new Toshiba 4gb miniSD HC work in 6700????

Does anyone know if the new Toshiba 4gb minsd HC will work in the 6700.
Below is some of the info from the Toshiba website.
I have tried TOPRAM 4gb which works for a while and then it self erases after a while, and I want to try a name brand.

I found the toshiba 4gb minsdhc for $35 at this website:
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?Inv...)-_-SD-S04GR4W

So if anyone knows for sure if MINISDHC cards will work please let me know????
Thanks Kevin

The High Capacity or SDHC cards are not compatible with the 6700. Its a new format of SD card which older card readers cannot read properly, of course the 6700 being one of the older types.

There are other 4GB SD cards out there that will work with the 6700. Just have to do some shopping

So, with the 6800 supporting sdhc, is there any hope of someone making it happen on the 6700?

Shouldn't it just be a driver update? It's my understanding that since SDHC readers have the same physical connections as regular SD readers, a driver change should do it. Though I could be wrong. Also over at xda, you can download a cab of registry settings to enable SDHC with later ROMs. However, I don't know what brand/model the SD interface is in the 6700.

Well to my understanding it is the chip that different between the SD and SDHC compatability. I have never read anywhere that it is a driver. If someone can post the driver or email the thing to me, I am willing to test it, and raise the BS flag or be the first to admit I am wrong.

So for now, if you really feel that you can use an SDHC card on your device, go buy it, waste your money, and have a useless card. Or go get the 6800 from Sprint that supports the HC cards natively

I know the 6700 doesn't support SDHC, but it's always surprised me.

My roommate has a Treo 650 which is an older phone - and they had a firmware update that allowed them to support SDHC. He's using an 8gb card.

I'm surprised it's not possible with the 6700.

We just got the driver updates with the new kitchen. I'm not saying it does support it, I am saying someone should try it now (after flashing to a new kitchen rom. With the stability now rock solid in the sd slot because of the new driver, it wouldn't suprise me if it is now supported. All that being said I have heard nothing one way or another on this except this thread.

So short answer - No one knows.
Longer answer - Up till now the aswer was no, now, maybee. - Who's gonna find out?
