Well, I just got back from Verizon....they wont repair it because I bought it off someone else. They said it was a hardware issue, most likely something wrong with the antenna. The phone still gets barely any reception and I had to reactivate my razor. I contacted the person from ebay I bought it from and he stated that it was "in perfect working order when he sent it" and "that it was packaged so well that it couldnt have been from the post office". He is refusing a refund. I know if I persue this dispute that I will most likely lose. It just sucks that I received this phone that did not work and there is no way to prove it on my end.

I kind of in the same boat with u, i moved from TX to CA (east bay) and since then my signal bar is like 2 or 1 all the times, but it does go full when I make/receive calls though.

ev vs 1x
vboyz103, it sounds like you just have weak evdo coverage. at rest the phone will report the evdo signal if you get one at all. this could possibly only be a bar or two. when you make a voice call it's using the 1x network, which is more widespread and likely stronger. so in calls it will show this with the signal bars. before you make a call next time see if it doesn't have the little ev square which changes to 1x when you make the call.

It should always change to 1x when you call. This is normal. Evdo is for data only. I was noticing this too but saw a response somewhere in another thread.
