Does this mean we now have access to NAM2 with this ROM? Couldn't get into it before using QPST (and there was no mention of it in WM). It would be nice to be able to have more than one PRL loaded, though the above post spells out what I do (though I think he meant 775, not 77. I keep two PRLs in my ActiveSync My Documents folder and swap them as needed since the PRL Alltel insists on pushing to me doesn't support roaming on Sprint's EvDO network, whereas my custom one does.

I was wondering if this ROM supports the ability for calls to go through internal speaker for VOIP calls.

I just flashed this ROM and there are only a few things that are quirky. My PI 2007 shows that I have calendar items but if I try to open them PI doesn't see them. Same goes for contacts. If I uninstall PI, the pocket outlook doesn't see any of the appointments. In addition, Contacts won't open up, it just flashes and then closes. (weird) I'll try to re-sync with my pc (at work) and see if that helps. Other than that, the ROM is pretty fast! I can still make calls and such so I'm not uber worried.

Historically, that's been a symptom of not doing a hard reset after the flash, though I don't remember if that's required with this ROM (haven't installed it yet, taking Helmi's advice and waiting for the kitchen). Did you hard reset after the flash, regardless of what the installer told you to do?

If I were more proficient then obviously I wouldn't have crashed the party the way I did. Thirdly, I posted this because I needed help not ridicule from an arrogant pompous jackass who couldn't be nice enough to just give friendly advice to someone less knowledgable. I do apologize for the retaliation but the response I received from this person was just flat out asshole out of the world. Helmi c and Luv2chill if you would please, please help me assess my troubles and to everyone else I do adamently apologize for barging in on this thread. I meant no disrespect to the moderators or to everyone else. I just need help in this matter. And by the way, I did what guru said and I don't even have a roaming selection; so, if anyone would be so kindly as to steer me in the right direction on this I would even be willing to send a small donation. Again, I do apologize and I do look forward to being in touch with any of you at the appropriate time and the appropriate thread. Thanks
You really should have started a new thread for this. That said, flash back to the complete Alltel ROM package (link: http://www.utstarcom.com/pcd/downloa...11500_Ship.exe ). Allow the extrom to run completely and don't install any additional apps. Does your data connection work properly? If so then there's nothing wrong with your phone. If it does not then you should strongly suggest a hardware problem (or a network issue such as low signal or 1x/EV ping-pong) and should pursue additional troubleshooting or equipment replacement with Alltel.

Assuming you don't have that problem with the carrier ROM then you should try a different custom ROM--if only to rule out a problem with Saridnours. There are plenty to choose from--just look around the forum. In fact, CaptJager here on the forums has made a ROM just for Alltel users so try that one first. If that works properly for you then start re-installing your programs and settings one by one.

There's no magic bullet to this process. You have to basically use deduction to figure out where the problem lies.

If you wish to discuss this further, please create a new thread. People visiting this thread are doing to to read about the Bell Mobility 3.3 ROM, so this discussion isn't appropriate here. You'll get a much better response if you put your posts in the proper places.

Best of luck.

I was over at pdaphonehome later yesterday and read that one of the users emailed utstarcom about an aku 3.3 update for Sprint 6700 users and the reply he got was something along the line that Sprint has not requested one. Anyone know anything about this?

actually, right after I posted in the thread I realized that I had not done a hard reset. After doing so, everything turned out okay. (stupid me). So far, the ROM is uber fast, the boot time is amazingly quick and my free memory after boot when up 1MB to 31.9. I also have 10 MB more storage space than before with all the same apps installed.

Thanks for the information!

I'm a Verizon user, but I did let my customizations run. Everything seems fine, although I haven't tried EVDO (since I don't have a data plan).

Um no, I meant ##778, but you're right, ##775 works too...
