I'm just going to take a wild guess that you didn't flash back to a stock Alltel ROM before calling Alltel either. Christ man, take a few deep breaths and think a little.

Now, since I've wasted everyone's time responding to your post, check your roaming options (Settings/Phone/Services/Roaming). Set it to Alltel Only. If that doesn't work for you, start a new thread instead of hijacking this one.
yeah

Greets

I went with you mofotrucker. I flashed this ROM to my stock verizon phone and found it quite stable actually. The verizon autocustomizations ran after the flash and all appeared quite ok.

Helmi and others working on this: probably old news by now but I did some more experimenting with this ROM:

(all my testing used only the NBF file from UTSTAR not the BL upgrades)

I flashed back to my helmiR4 basic rom (just has verizon provison and ext-rom unlock) I cleared out my extended_rom2 and then flashed the same utstar release. The phone flashed without issue, and was well, quite sparse. But generally working. I could make calls, use the camera etc.

Direct push didnt work, even after I entered in the data network #777 stuff. So I then copied a few of the verizon cabs, the two provisions, the DST, and the OEM verizon MMS package. Then active sync allowed me to add my server source and correctly imported my Certificates.

That's where I am right now, and it's working pretty well. I have to say I really respect the work you and others are doing here. I tried to integrate UTSTAR rom into the R4 Kitchen, just by using the information I found in these forums.

I'm getting closer, my first round ended up with a helmi only 2.60 rom. My 2nd attempt (after correcting my nba decode issue) gave me the utstar version, but none of the OEM or Kitchen customizations. I wish I had more time to work with this stuff I'm optimistic about this Kitchen and want to thank Helmi_C, Colonel, Luv2chill et al working on this.

All my colleagues are super impressed with this process and are waiting on me to provide a nice stable release they can mess with!

Oh and thanks to the person who found the Bootloader deal, that saved me from making a nasty mistake!!

Thanks!

As soon as the Crew comes out with the "friendly" version for Sprint I will test it on my 6700s to see if Goodlink works! I hope we still don't have to wait for Good 5.0 for anything AKU 3.X!

1.41 Radio

I upgraded the radio to 1.41 with the soft reset and it works great. With the stock radio I used to experience problems with calling. I would have to call like 2 time for the call to go through. Now 1st time.

When are you going to release the kitchen?very anxious.
I've already made the kitchen, Like I said earlier... currently colonel and luv2chill is do the cleaning stuff and make it more user friendly for you guys to mesh with...
So is this a later core even then the recent "3.5 R4" core?
I believe the core in 3.3 is an earlier version, but the the drivers are updated.

response to gguruusa

First of all everyone, I did apologize ahead of time. I was seeking resolve and needed desperate help although I knew this was not the time nor place to interrupt. HOWEVER, in response to the jackass that slammed me, first off, take in to account that everyone is not as savy as the next person. If I were more proficient then obviously I wouldn't have crashed the party the way I did. Secondly, I am intelligent enough to know to always flash back to the alltel 2.2 rom before talking to their techs about anything, and by the way, I always do. Thirdly, I posted this because I needed help not ridicule from an arrogant pompous jackass who couldn't be nice enough to just give friendly advice to someone less knowledgable. I do apologize for the retaliation but the response I received from this person was just flat out asshole out of the world. Helmi c and Luv2chill if you would please, please help me assess my troubles and to everyone else I do adamently apologize for barging in on this thread. I meant no disrespect to the moderators or to everyone else. I just need help in this matter. And by the way, I did what guru said and I don't even have a roaming selection; so, if anyone would be so kindly as to steer me in the right direction on this I would even be willing to send a small donation. Again, I do apologize and I do look forward to being in touch with any of you at the appropriate time and the appropriate thread. Thanks

The phone stayed in roaming in a known good coverage area until I went in and changed it back to home only. Hopefully the new kitchen will address this....
I noticed that as well. I use Preferred A where I live rather than Home Only because I have a better signal roaming.
Just do what I do, go to:

http://corolada.com/prl/

I have Verizon's America's Choice plan, but there coverage in my home town sucks. However, I have an Alltel tower practically in my front yard, so I just dial ##778, edit my prl, and upload the latest Alltel PRL. When travelling, away from home, I then upload the Verizon PRL. I never incure roaming charges either, although you may or may not depending on your plan so proceed at your own risk. An easy alternative, just my solution anyway.

This ROM is SSSWWWEEETTT...Been running it for a couple of days now the only issue I have seen so far is that every time I hit the power button the screen comes up, but it is useless for anywhere between 15 to 45 seconds ...Is anyone else having this same problem or know how to correct...other than that it is running as smooth as can be and I cannot way to see the new stuff you all come out with in the new rom...
