If you search, you'll find other posts with the same problem...as best I can remember, it is due to a physical break of the internal antenna connection...
For what it's worth, I plug an external antenna in to my XV6700 everyday at work, and have never had a problem. Do a search and see if anyone found a better answer than needing a replacement. |

Have you done a soft reset after removing the antenna? When some phones tag the external antenna port and find a load (antenna) there, they will switch to the external port and V-mack the power accordingly. After removing the external antenna, the software may not v-mack back and might require a reset to set things right again.
