It does work. At least the OEM one from Helmi_APAC_WM3.5_NEW_Kitchen does. I'm not sure what the full blown plug does, but the one from the kitchen just creates shortcuts to executables (Backlight, PIE and CommManager are default) and includes icons for Power and Rotate.
