Any way to get the helmi BT stack onto WM6?

Howdy,

I loved the latest 3.5 AKU for WM5 on my 6700 - it brought new life to my old phone! I noticed a slight improvement for BT communications over the existing BT stack. I recently purchased the mogul/titan/6800 and frankly the BT stack on it is actually worse than the WM5 original stack. I've tried several headsets that all work great with the 6700 and my callers all complain I sound choppy to them. Hard to go back to actually using the phone for talking - particularly since there are laws preventing me from doing that while I drive.

I don't know squat about the BT stack so I thought I'd ask you experts. Would it be hard to get the stack put on my 6800? I have both phones currently.

I don't know about your question, but for me, I just got my 6800 on Thrusday. My BT8010 works like a dream now and the clarity is 1000 x's better than on the 6700. I had nothing but problems with the BT on my 6700, even with ROM's like BJ's and Helmi. I'm so glad my stereo headset actually works on my 6800

Slevin - since I use my phone as my main line for business - not only does the clarity of my callers voice matter to me but he clarity of my voice to my callers. I often have calls that last an hour and even when I'm sitting at my desk, not making any extra noise - my callers will have to keep saying can you repeat that, what did you just say? This is just not an option for me. I have friends I talk to all the time and they immediately knew when I got a new phone because they said I sounded like crap - where was I calling from - answer same place I usually call them from. Never had a single complaint when I was on the 6700 and one friend commented that I sounded better when I upgraded to AKU 3.5 (any of the last kitchens)

I don't have many concerns about the 6800 but I can't use my phone for business and use a BT headset if my clients all have to keep saying Hunh? What did you say?

I just spoke to tech support at HTC - 866-449-8358 - first they asked me if I tried other devices, resetting the device. Then I asked if there was a patch or anything possible for this - they said it he's gotten a lot of calls about this same issue so they are aware of it.

I'd suggest you call 866-449-8358, not to bug them but to let them know if you are having this issue to try and make sure they get enough notification so that the patch comes out sooner than later.

Sleven, can you confirm that you haven't gotten any complaints from the callers or that you have asked them if it still sounds good on the BT8010 - I'm willing to buy a fourth headset to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Thanks
