HELP Can't connect to flash rom.

I'm using windows vista home premium 32 bit. I have downloaded BuildOS and run the updater. I flashed the stock wm5 rom back onto my 6700 using this computer the other day.
Here's what I did. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
I put my phone in bootloader mode, i'm not running as admin (I don't think, i am logged into windows as another user...is that what it means not to run as admin or is there something in BuildOS that I have to choose), i turned off connections in WMDC, cooked the rom, and then turned connections back on before flashing it. I'm getting a connection error 101.

It says to leave the connection off in WMDC until after you flash. I dunno vista, but I think if you right click on the file to run the flasher, you can select run as administrator under properties. PDAJ says not to, though.

You did everything right except you don't turn back on connections back on till after you flash. I know it's an anoying step but it's the only way to flash with Vista.

PDAPHONEJUNKIE do you ever get tired of repeating yourself your profile should have like an auto answer if anyone has any problems flashing in vista or thinks they bricked their phones bcuz your always have to repeat yourself like three times a day
