Does it make sense to have the date show up by default, or as an option in the kitchen? For me it is a no brainer that having the date and time is the way to go.
This should work fine. I have it set that way on my device right now. What does it look like and what reg are you using?
I used this reg edit:

To show both the date and the clock:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 3 (DWORD decimal)

IMGFS seems to crash if you are trying to put too much into the rom

n8mack33, you also need to add this reg entry. Pay close attention to the spaces after the date format.

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\NLS\OVERRIDES]
  "SSDte"="M/dd/yy  "

If you are using the kitchen, just add it to a rgu. I have a "customize" OEM that I use for reg entries like this. You can also add it manually to your phone with a reg editor.

i wish they would come out with R5 and R6 and so on! sooner we get these bugs out the better
Maybe we can put together update cab files that can be downloaded to "patch" our phones in between builds. Then we can setup a Windows Mobile Update program to check for updated cabs from the ftp. OK so I'm getting a little ahead of myself. What do you guys think about that?

P.S. I just flashed to R3 last Friday and then R4 came out. From the looks of things I don't quite want to update to R4, but if I knew there were fixes available as cabs then I'd be more inclined to make the jump.

DSOD Problems

Built my first R4 ROM last night and having a significant problem (had with R1 a few days ago, but travelling and no time to report).

DSOD. Once after a phone call. Another with no activity.

I did a VERY vanilla build - standard theme and dialer, most OEM's unchecked, and nothing of my own added.

Anyone else?

i have a dumb request. is there any place that has screen captures or each type of option to decide which ones to include or not without having to flash all of the different options and decide which ones you like. then reflash with the one you like finally. this could take days to figure our all the different options included in the kitchen.

thx
sitting here in total amazement at how nicely this has been put together.

Not sure if anyone else is working on them. Guess you can use these temporarily. until someone finds the proper images or make better one's.
