Ok, back to smart dialer with the reTOUCHed skin... it's broke again for me.

It works once, then doesn't bring up contacts anymore after the first call until the next soft reset.

anyone else confirm?

I'm not 100% sure its the same as what your talking about, but the "Calendar" Today item is included for me.

thanks,
yep
I get the same thing with the reTOUCHed dialer. Images to the left do not show, no way to tell if the call was incoming or outgoing. Going to try the HTC SmartDial next and see how well that works.

Also, it's kind of silly that the folder icon for OneNote Mobile is the same as the program icon... it looks confusing. And there is a duplicate PowerPoint Mobile Icon (old style icon) in the programs folder as well as in the OneNote Mobile folder (I installed the Office as well as standard OneNote OEMs).

While I'm on the subject of duplicates... check your My Documents folders... there were duplicate audio and video files all over the place in there for me. For example, the same files were duplicated under "My Music" as well as "My Sounds".

On a side note, I noticed that if I build the OEM with LVM TopBat, it will really screw with WisBar (both Lite and WA2) if I install that later.

Another note, if I run TaskManager from the Programs folder, I get all sorts of duplicate icons for that program in the Today Task Bar.

Keep up the good work guys... this is turning out to be a really great project!

EDIT... not sure if this has been mentioned already, but it would be nice if the program note in BuildOS would tell you if the program is Freeware or not so ppl would know what they may need to register.

@ DopeWeasel

The OneNote stuff has been addressed already. If you don't want it that way then you need to select the OneNote item that says shorcut only (or something like that).

Sounds like you may need to reflash since you are having problems with the call history items.

I've reflashed the ROM and this time I used the Crosbow Dialer/HTC SmartDial combo. This seems to be working fine so far. Also, removing LVM TopBat fixed my problems with Wisbar. After I flashed this time, I don't seem to have the problem with duplicate files in My Documents either... not sure what happend there.

Hmm, I installed the Office Mobile OEM and the OneNoteMobile Only OEM, but I have no Calendar Today item. Is there something I'm missing? I'd try the full OneNote Mobile OEM, but I can't reflash until tomorrow.

When you first start up after a flash or hard reset the phone does it go through a little install routine? If so, then something is getting installed off the extrom. If you have content in your Extrom the extra sounds, images, etc may be from things installed from there.

Ok, back from canoeing. Anyway, I will try to address some of these issues.

First, the Touch dialer really kinda sucks and I will look into an alternative with similar theme. Obviously, we will need full funcitonality from it.

Second, the smartskey.ini was set that way so that people had access to the ini if they wanted to make any adjustments. This is actually a remnant from my roms. So, just disable the link in initflashfile.

roastpork, the apps you mention are left in because they are part of the base rom. While I understand you want a "clean" rom, I do not understand why. Please search for the thread on "memory usage in AKU updates" (or something like that). Now, if you are filling the rom and still need more room, that is another thing. But, for now, stuff like that was left in.

Don't see a lot of people mentioning it, but Internet Sharing still won't work when Bluetooth is enabled. It picks up the IP address just fine without BT on, but once BT is enabled, it gives the PC an Autoprivate address with no access to the web. Anybody working on that? Its been this way since the initial release.
