WiFi and Vison both connected--priority?

If both are connected, is there any priority given to which wireless netowrk is used?

Or is it better to turn off Vision when connected to a WiFi network?

best to turn it off, ifim not mistaken vision takes first priority. or at least that has been my experience.

The way it works is wifi gets priority until the signal gets low then the EVDO will connect automatically. I think

If EV-DO and Wi-Fi are both available in an area, the PPC-6700 automatically tries to switch to Wi-Fi. Whether you're on EV-DO or Wi-Fi, Web browsing will feel slower on the PPC-6700 than on a laptop using either type of network connectivity simply because of the sluggishness of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 applications.

hang on I think I got lost. he's talking about when both are connected at one time, not both available. and I think it takes the vision over wifi that way or at least like I stated earlier that's how it feels on mine.

In the antenna icon popup in the menu bar, Vision is listed first--not sure if that means anything

I'm not sure here, but I think t here may be differences with old vs. new ROMs, red vs. yellow logos...at least, we should take that into consideration.

My experience: my Vision is almost always connected b/c I run VGSmail (push email). If I throw on my wifi and pick up a signal while having a live Vision connection I always connect to WiFi (which is how I want it since WiFi, though a battery drain, is mad fast on the 6700).

I did some testing this morning and the push mail must come in on my vision. I sent myself an Email and started loading web pages on WIFI at the same time WIFI stayed connected and kept running as soon as the web pages stoped loading the Email was loaded. The WIFI icon never turned off and the circling arrows were running the whole time. Weird

I've started turning my phone off when browsing via wifi on my 6600. I just moved to a new apartment about three months ago, and I get really crappy service on the 6600. I actually hadn't really used my WiFi card at my last place because 1X was always fast enough for what I wanted to do.

Now, I use my WiFi almost every day. One thing I noticed was that in some areas of my house, if I tilt my phone one way or another I lose/gain signal. When sitting on the toilet cruising the internet (shut up, you all do it too) I noticed my internet speed was really, really slow, taking several minutes to resolve a page, and I noticed that my signal was going in/out. So, I turned on flight mode and all of the sudden, its coming through just as fast as it can.

Now, I have a 6600, which doesn't have built-in WiFi, so it could be different on the 6700, but it seems pretty obvious to me that my phone was doing everything in its power to connect via Vision before it used WiFi. Perhaps this is the case with the 6700 as well and perhaps is one of the reasons Verizon has set the 6700 and i730 to disable the phone when WiFi is on, so that they're not fighting each other for a connection.
