kk lets play nice haha.

-anyways, CHESS is functioning and you dont need a key, if you do, you prolly did something horribly wrong.

-The Wireless today plugin is glitched. It updates the status, but clicking on it does nothing.... could be a blessing in disguise but defenitely not working in regards to taps. Bizzare, ill flash the kitchen r4 on my phone and see if its broken in there to.

-in regards to the battery... what programs do you have running, which rom are you running, what else have you installed since you flashed. Do you sync to an exchange server, did you leave IM+ on all day or logon to irc.....

-the full o2 suite needs registering if i remember correctly and i didnt see much need for the rest of the suite. Personally i hate todayscreen items. right now i have phonealarm and calendar and thats it.... granted i wish the start menu held just ONE more icon space, or wish there was a hack to disable recent and use up all my space for myself, but my understanding is that hack isnt out yet.
keep in mind the kitchen is available if you would like to add it yourself.

-when you drop vision and it asks for the password just hit save and hit OK, you dont need to put anything in. Thats completely normal functionality of the handset.

-if your earpiece isnt working, time for a new phone, or at least a new speaker. nothing in the rom effects that. The BETA 1.6 version of phonealarm allows all calls to default to speakerphone so you may wanna do that and just talk backwards.... thats what i do, the earpiece is so freakin i cant hear shizzlez on it.

-The bluetooth dropping incoming calls is your headset dude. I tested that today at work with like 6 models and it didnt do that with any of them, buy a new one or get yours exchanged where you bought it.

-Garov55 no offense bro, just saw an opportunity for my funny ban-saw story, you shoulda seen the stories for that question in the 9.6 thread haha. Appreciate you trying to help, sometimes just gotta help yourself first y'know. Thanks for trying my ROM however, The LCD being shut off effects the vibrate function for reasons unknown even to microsoft mobile dev team. (well thats what their blog says anyways....) but having it off gives you roughly 7-9 more hours of standby time, in my opinion its worth the trade-off thats why i have it disabled by default. 90% of the people I have talked to have never put their handset on vibrate anyways, and its a weak vibrate at that. Figured the trade-0ff was there to just have it shut down with instructions on re-enabling it.

-leaving a threaded conversation open will not make an alert. This was a known issue when development of the hack stopped. Just something were gonna have to live with untill someone picks up the development of that application again and is willing to host the work on piratebay or something haha.

-think thats everything, im gonna go ahead and pull those extra vz steps for the dial connection, i had a feeling they werent needed... may just be needed in special situations, but its in the thread on the first page (7) of the topic for this release.

Thanks again guys for your support and helping me create up a bug list for the next release.

nope the o2 plus does not need registering. I have it on my phone by following a thread on here which I can't seem to find at the moment. I'm pretty sure I follow every installation step and didn't mess up because it doesn't make sense only chess is not registered. but o wells.

hey fitbryan are you k000's dog? thanx for replying for him you are cool! have you ever thought of BigJ constantly removing and replacing apps that he would make room for it? thank you for RTMFT but you lose in the thinking department.

that would be awesome if you dont need it. Can more people verify this and ill pull those instructions off the front page.

Thanks!

.
I am suspect of this, only b/c when I lose data connection I get a box asking for the PW. Could u guys please confirm by giving:

1) location
2) *exactly* which fields u have set to what in your data connection?
3) I will test here in LA as I switch back/forth from 1x to EVDO often. I do know it works when I leave name/pw blank, but Ive lost data connection with it setup both ways...

Thanks!

Yes, that is correct.
Mine asks for the username and password (even if I checked save password during setup) once, but then after that it never does.

Internet Sharing Problem

This new ROM was working great.... until I started using push e-mail which my exchange administrator requires a password to be set on the phone. This appears to be causing a problem w/ the internet sharing program. When I connect, nothing happens. A password request is suppose to come up on the PC, but it doesn't and just sits there until it gives up. I can use wireless modem, but that's no fun! Anybody know of a fix??

it makes no sense, the issue seems to be that activesync wont ask you for a password, not that internet sharing is broken per-se I dunno, i would just "pretend" i have a phone password (lame). are you running the latest activesync?

not that it all matters haha, online sales just got the 6800 available to purchase so looks like i got my rom out just in time for it to be pretty worthless haha.

no way ill upgrade till they got a kitchen though, screw that

I know you are getting a lot of crap from people that don't seem to appreciate you are doing this for fun, I hope I don't seem to be one of them. I have 3 bluetooth headsets, 2 headsets and my car has built in. The calls only drop in my car, and if I flash back to old kitchen roms all three can take calls again. There is nothing wrong with my cars bluetooth, it just must have a profile that isn't fully supported by the new kitchen. If I get around to it today I'll flash over to Colonel or one of the other new kitchen roms and see if the problems are still there.

As an FYI the notifications aren't freezing any more, but they do dismiss themself now.

Dude - you took too much offense. Please loosen up a bit.

I didn't mean to hit you under the belt with my initial response. The reason I also said you can add it is that the ROM is already pretty packed, and in the past lot of people were having issues with OS2 installed as it is. Not sure if it was J's ROM or Colonel.... but do know that there were quite a few issues.

I don't know fitbryan or you... so no personal attacks

Peace out....

Try VZW as the user, and verizon as the password.

If that works at least the rom can come completely pre-loaded.
