all of the default skins are still in the rom, all i changed was the one that the program uses initially, the names of the skins are like this (it will show a lot because its in the root windows dir

Default-Compact
Default-Detailed
Default-Expanded
Default--Frutiger-Expanded
Default-Large2
Default-Large3
Default-Large
Default-Large-Frutiger-2

Default-Large-Large Fonts
Default--Medium
Default-Mini

if you need default ICON sets, those are available on the website in the cab file that installs the program (in the res.zip). but they are in the ROM already...

you can also use THIS non-animated icon set

I was wondering though, is anyone experiencing an issue with the notifications bubble for appointments?

I for some reason, am not getting a notifcation bubble pop up for meeting - it seem to be working for task, but not appointments.

Device: 6700
ROM: BigJ 1.1r
Carrier: Telus Mobility (Canada)
Storage: 2Gig Scandisk (no programs installed on it)
Programs installed to device after ROM Flash:
- SPB Mobile Shell (1.0)
- SPB Backup (1.6.1)
- SPB Phone Suite (1.1)
I have not had this issue reported since the reminder bug was fixed. You may *still* have duplicate or dangling notifications in your system that are preventing new ones from arising. Please use the Memmaid tool to its full ability, check off duplicate AND dangling from the bottom left tab and hit clean.

you may also want to run pimbackup and then remove your pim.vol file, reboot and restore via that program. it will restructure and clean out your appointment database and tends to fix a lot of bizzare appointment issues.

Today was the first time my battery has gotten low enough to trigger the 'battery low' and 'battery dangerously low' alerts. Strangely enough I got some bizarre errors shortly thereafter:
your phone is possessed dude,

I removed the startup for the battv three days ago and have not had a single lockup since. Don't know if that is really the cause - I thought more likely it was the push-mail system, but I'll go a few more days to see if it holds. If not, then I'll disable the push-mail to see if that is it.
I do not suffer this issue nor anybody I know, BUT ---- I am glad that something this simple fixes the issue for you, if you still would like a bar up there and not the vista-guage one i use, here is a link to the one i used to use back on 9.6

http://pda.jasnapaka.com/batti/

its called batti, and its a fantastic little freeware battery bar. Heres some shots for you in case you have never heard/seen it before.

can anyone confirm that the animated weather icons indeed drain your battery?

Don't seem to for me. If you don't change the settings on the weather app then your phone might be opening EVDO or Vision to update itself, but I unchecked that option and update manually.

What's weird is I find my lockups happen when voicecommand is on. If I get more than 1 call at a time, it locks up the phone. Since turning VC1.6 off, I haven't had a lock-up or downtime on the phone for days....?

Running cooked 1.1 Big J rom, which is awesome btw. I put in spbweather as I noticed marsweatherpanel was eating my battery too...

Lockups

I wanted to pass along my experience here as well. I was getting hit with 2 or 3 lockups per day until I remove Battv from the startup. I have not had one since. This ROM rocks it is fast and very stable.
Not sure why some of us can't run Battv. It seemed to make the reboot process and today screen refreshes a lot faster too.

Thanks a lot.

This ROM is awesome, but I'm having a recurring problem. i searched everywhere, but I couldn't find a fix for my issue...

I'm trying to connect using the wireless modem app. When I do it gives me the IOTA error where it cannot prepare vision services. I copied the shortcuts listed earlier on this page in the hopes that I could run the utility to enable DUN, but I couldn't find the shortcut in the folder that ran that utility.

Anybody have any ideas? I've pretty much just got the ROM on there with no other apps, and I'm using my 6700 on Verizon.

I appreciate all the troubleshooting help you guys give, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Read back to where Craig was posting about this issue, on the top of this page and the bottom of the one before it. Instead of using the Modem just fire up the internet sharing app. Pick you poison - USB or Bluetooth- click connect and then connect to your computer. Once you plug in the USB you'll see a new network connection form, and you can surf. No need to mess with any modem settings at all.
