wow I just noticed that. I checked it today and had 6 new messages dating from the 10th
My voicemail icon does not show up also. I have a hard time believing that no one else is having this issue. I hope it is just some registry fix. Anyone have any ideas??

Other than that, your rom rocks.
Oh crap. I thought that I had just missed it or accidentally dismissed it.
But I just found a few messages from earlier today and never had a notice!
This needs a fix... quick.
I'm liking the speed and options on this ROM. But without the phone having a notification, pA doesn't tell me anything is up.

Strange bluetooth issue: It connects to my car fine, and I can make calls. When incoming calls arrive the car rings, then the call drops to the handset. I can then only answer on the handset, but the strange part is I have to go into the menu and select 'disable bluetooth headset' before I can talk.

I don't get voicemail notifications either.

I tested the Palm SMS notifcations and here are my results:

Program running and active (phone on or in sleep): Notifications come through normally
Program running in the background and phone on: notifications come through normally
Program running in the background and phone off: Notification comes through once power button is pressed.
Program closed (after soft reset or process killed through Memaid or memory): Notifications do no come through until Palm SMS is opened.

Just noticed that I have the SMS problem too... Interesting. Never had that problem before.

Outside of that problem, I don't have any issues with this ROM though... so its a small trade off.

How can I fix this?

EDIT: Nevermind... if you open Memmaid and just make a link to messagingapp.exe in the startup tab, it fixes the problem. Just FYI.

I do not have the voicemail problem u guys are experienceing? strange.

That said, I just de-tuned all the RAM settings down to 2096 (per the FAQ in 1st post from J). As a result, I am noticing much better stability, no more crashing or DSOD (so far). I will update as Im only into first 8hrs with new regedits to 2096.

Anyway does anyone have any feedback on the space reclaimer program? Possible alternatives to it? Maybee create an OEM for the kitchen.

Thanks for all the great work!!!
LOL, love your avatar.

Speaking of, How about a Bubb Rubb theme? "The Whistle go WOOOOOOO" could be the ringtone, and L'il Sis as the wallpaper.

No idea why alarms could not wake up my phone. I was using the Alarm tone included in the ROM. None of my plugins / software run off SD card, thanks to JB as everything is in the ROM itself now
using the STOCK alarm???!!!?? your lucky i dont know how to remove that! It sounds like you have "dangling" or "duplicate" notifications in your system. Several things can cause it (look it up later) but you can get rid of them pretty easily. Go into Memmaid and on the bottom LEFT tab for clean, check the boxes to clean both dangling and duplicate notifications. once checked off hit the "clean" button and it should resolve your problem. your other problem is that you use the stock alarm program, you may want to use the shortcut in /programs/ called...... wait for it..... .AlarmClock! hahaha, (aint i a stinker).

anyways run that cleanup and try again, the stock should work, but its lacking in so many ways, thats why i put in gsAlarmClock.

=======================

-regarding an exchange solution, I use Mail2Web, its free and there is a guide on these very forums for how to set it up and all that. Be aware though... as with ANY exchange solution your battery life will suffer greatly.

You were right, I did have some duplicate notifications. Stupid Microsoft why are they even allowed !!!

I always use QuickClean and use dupli/dangling checked to keep cleaning them, but I didn't custonize them yet on this new flash since yesterday.

I would looooooooove to switch to AlarmClock, but it does not allow me multiple alarms..... and I can't afford to make a mistake of turning that off in the morning and going back to bed, with no second kickass alarm waking me up again as I don't have monthly pass at train station, but have to fight for lame daily parking spots.... well there I digress to my gripe.

Anyhow, thanks for all the wonderful work and bearing with us aholes.

I had to hard reset my 6700 today, as the alarms went off this morning, but there was no way to turn them off. No notification bubble at all. I tried to soft reset twice, but it did not help. Unchecked the alarms, soft reset again, but no luck.

I ran the Memaid before going to bed - so not sure what else could be the issue.

Finally had to revert to hard reset.

I use BigJ's Alarm Clock, and noticed that it did not wake up the phone to sound the alarm this morning. I'll test more to make sure I can recreate that.

Loving your ROM's J, keep it up!

(I'm using the 1.0r kitchen.)

Update: The alarm app locked up on me when I tried to change the settings just now. The rest of the pda seemed ok, just the alarm app was messed up. As soon as I soft reset, my alarm started going off. I set a new alarm and the phone did wake up for the alarm this time.
