Actually, I started to do a BuildOS and create a new ROM, but so far that is not horizon. I was trying to run updater on a Windows XP machine and at the dialog of Downloading Files, it just hangs big time... I have turned off the firewall, and next I will turn off avg antivirus and see if that we allow me to download the files... If not, I am somewhat stuck...

Help me Obi-wan, you are my only hope!!!!
1. I wonder if you should consider performing a clean uninstall/ reboot PC/reinstall of BuildOS. I had a similar problem a while back and uninstall/reinstall helped. I use Revo Uninstaller for software uninstallation. It gets rid of every bit of software you're trying to uninstall (registry tracks included). When using Revo Uninstaller, following the screen that tells you it's looking for traces left behind, when it finds it in the registry and folders, click the button that says "select all" then click "delete". Don't worry, it's quite safe. Let me know if you have questions about this software.

2. With BuildOS Updater, it takes an incredibly long time--sometimes an hour or more--to update/download files. What may look like your computer hanging may actually be the Updater doing it's job at a casual, yet consistent pace. To check if Updater is actually exchanging data through the Internet, use a program such as Active Ports to monitor TCP/IP and UDP ports. As before, if you have questions about Active Ports, feel free to ask.

3. Some of the more knowledgeable members of this forum may be able to direct you on manually downloading the needed updated files, if updating BuildOS through Updater is causing so many problems.
