Re: No internet after flashing with Helmi_C ROM

kcallis, there really is no need to update to radio 1.43 Me and most other member ave found it to improve nothing. The 6800 on the other hand need radio updates...

Thanks, that was stressing me out... Now if someone on PPCKitchen will just validate me on the board, can get started....

You can download BuildOS here, then run the updater to get the kitchens. Then launch it and use any log in name you wish. No need to register on the board unless you really want to...

Re: No internet after flashing with Helmi_C ROM

Well, I finally was validated on PPCKitchen, and the build began... After a lot of restarts and all of that, I made my first ROM... And it was a complete failure... Now I get stuck at the flash screen... Not a big deal, hopefully I can get back into bootloader mode and reload the old ROM that was in place....

I am just wondering where I went wrong... If anyone can take a look at http://pastebin.com/m495fc066 and see if there was something wrong in my process I would be very appreciative

Re: No internet after flashing with Helmi_C ROM

It's a bad rom, you put way too many apps in it. Run a very lean rom. It will be more stable. Then put the phone in bootloader and re load.

Do you or any one have a load configuration file that I can open load... I thought that I had cut everything down... I guess I am trying to get back to the payload that was in Helmi_C

I don't right now, as I haven't cooked for my Apache for months. You can of course use the WM6 kitchen which was made by Helmi.

Re: No internet after flashing with Helmi_C ROM

Ok, for today, I am almost ready to give up... The first time, I loaded too much and overloaded the ROM count... Not a problem... This time I went light, and was able to load the ROM... Disaster... The PPC6700 would not get past the splash screen...
I re-install of the Helmi_C and I was up and running again (considering that I am not doing this for hobby sake, but the need for a functional phone at the very least). I trying to rebuild the ROM again, and this time, everytime I get to the kitchen.rar, I would get a an error about not being able to write to a file, and the process stop....
I am at a loss...

K.

Just when I was getting ready to throw in the towel, I decided to do a little more searching (PDAPhoneJunkie, I do actually search from time to time! ), and found out that there was an issue with the Samsung Omnia D3D driver. Once that was removed, the build went without a hitch... Of course comes the issue of not over filling the ROM. If one streamlines the build, how does one add some of the apps that were available in the RAR file... For instance, VOIP module under the phone sub-menu?
