Can phones with custom Roms still get activated?

Hey all,
Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, I am forced to sell off my Apache. However, one thing I haven't been able to get some clear information on is whether or not there would be activation issues for the new owner. It does have a custom Rom on it, so thats why I thought I should ask first. I could reflash it myself, unfortunately, I'm on a mac, and don't have access to windows at the moment.
