You have to tell the Sprint 6700 what time zone you are in, the time sync only corrects the minutes. I travel a lot and this has always been the case with the 6700. I could be wrong but I think it tells you in the Sprint manual about this but it has been a long time since I have read it so I couldn't tell you what page.

When I was having trouble with the DST fix, the time sync would correct the hours for me as well. When I turned off the time sync, I was able to manually update the hour to the correct hour. Take this with a grain of salt, since I haven't been out of CST in a while...
